| I'm a bit surprised Merry sleeps with Pippin, but beautiful thoughts for all of them. Author Reply: I was taken aback too when I first started reading fanfic and encountered Merry calling Pippin 'dearest' and Pippin asking Merry if he could sleep with him, but then I realized the beauty and innocence of hobbity love. | You know, I never thought about what Aragorn may have been thinking about as he brought Frodo and Sam back. Of course Sam would have wanted to come back, but certainly not without Frodo. *Did* Aragorn worry he was being selfish? It's hard to say. Anyway, I really liked the story. | A very interesting mix of movie- and book-verse. And I do believe Frodo was in part influenced to come back by Sam's influence. I wrote part of it into "The Colors of Passing" and part into "The Ties of Family." Nicely done, Antane. Author Reply: Hannon le, Larner! I appreciate it so much. | Ohhh, this is so gentle and loving! Their souls were nearly merged into one, Aragorn saw. Where one went, the other would follow. And Sam had still wanted to live. So Frodo had chosen that also. ...as the gardener’s arms encircled his dear master and dearer friend and Frodo sighed as his arms wrapped his beloved guardian and he placed his head where he could hear that much loved heartbeat.
