Antane's Anthology  by Antane 3 Review(s)
Queen GaladrielReviewed Chapter: 35 on 8/30/2011
I love this. You wrote the dream very well - I always have to think about those when I write them and usually freak myself out haha! :) I love the way you wove it into the rest of the story in a poetic way, and, even though this might sound strange, I love that you ended with the hope of healing rather than the healing itself. It kept the tone of the whole piece true. Of course, I loved the little scene with Frodo and Sam. :)

I have a busy evening; my roommate/one of my best friends and I are going out a little belatedly, at her insistence, for my birthday. But I've decided that I'll start catching up by working backward through these until chapter 16, which is the last one I seem to have read. After that, you'll have to direct me, because I've been out of it for so long! Can't wait for your e-mail! :D

Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed this one, ammelda! I wrote this in the living room while hanging out with my nieces and nephews this summer and really enjoyed writing it. These challenges are fun to write. :)

Never fear I will direct you to more. *hugs*

Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)

Still being reforged even as he thinks on it, he will be whole again one day.

I've seen this before, but it was like reading it for the first time. One of your best ever. The metaphor of the sword and the idea of Narsil being useful even in its brokenness works wonderfully well. And the line Just so, and it will be the West that will smother the flame of the East that still burns within you. Well, that is genius!

Great work!
