Thank you for such an amazing story. I love this couple so much and the princes Amrothos and Erchirion are so much fun. I enjoyed the sexy scenes and the medical scenes and could picture the procedures so vividly. Well done. Enjoyed this story immensely. Wish you would continue it. Thank you for posting.

"devious bastard". Who is Éofor really? From the Eastfold, a constant challenge between Éofor and Éomer. Éomer doesn´t like him but accepts him as captain.
Then Lothíriel arrives. Éofor´s mind goes bang! Ceorl calls him lunatic, he can´t keep his eyes off her... just like Éomer before him.
Luck, an important concept for rohirric warriors. Éomer believes in Destiny. Éofor questionable character. Unperturbed Éomer will dismiss him.
Somehow he will end in the Westmarch (Eormenhild). I don´t think Éomer would simply send his enemy to a strategic place.
Éofor takes his chance. Dunlendings. Diversion.
Tafl. Crushed between hammer and anvil.

In Rohan´s Future we learn that some places have been fortified or are especially visited regularly by the royal couple.

Castles in the air. But the truth is that as her story progresses she takes it to a different dimension. Through humour she deals with such a serious problem for those times as illegitimacy was.

A man's true Honour. Maddy would have taken us to a different approach.
To stay true to his word till the end?.
Maybe a Vow at his Boast ritual, that he would only marry for love, a way of honoring his father and his mother.
His honorability, his honesty: His true strength, his inner power. His men would follow him to whatever end.
He keeps his word. He falls in love for the first time, a feeling unknown, unhoped for, unexpected.
He tries to fight against this feeling. He has made a decision, but now Imrahil is the one who is taking her away from the Houses of Healing. Now he can have her for himself. He can now acknowledge these unsettling feelings.
He will tell HER, only her, but not on flat parchment. He will wait for her.

Elfhem would know "...you would not be here" he tells her.

Great the wisteria touch, the stunning flowers that link the world of men and the divine. At the Houses of Healing,in the dark, later her pale lavender dress.

So many hints and details.
I still like to re-read from time to time.I always find something unexpected.
One of her friends was right. We can't even imagine the stories she still had for us.

Her brother is right, she has stated she will do what she wants but she has to understand that her actions also reflect on her husband, The King, and the Crown. By allowing these things to have happen she has greatly dishonored her husband in a society like Rohan. Its pretty close to unforgivable.

Greeting Madeleine,

I have just finished reading all your Tolkien stories posted to Stories of Arda. I really enjoyed them. I have been a Tolkien fan for many years and I have always enjoyed reading good stories about some of my favorite Tolkien characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your work and especially enjoyed your characterization of Lothiriel and Eomer as well as Lothiriel’s brothers and father. I was entertained by the dialog and banter between Lothiriel and Eomer as well as the interacts of Lothiriel and her brothers. I found your characterization of Imrahil brilliant.

I was completely disappointed that your story “Unexpected” was not completed and was wondering if you will be posting any additional chapters. I would really love to see how you resolve the story line.

I completely appreciate the time and research that you have put into your writing. I will be waiting eagerly to read your future work.

I think this particular crisis will only serve to strengthn their relationship and I'm very interested to know just what Eomer is planning and how her 2 younger brothers will contribute to it. Eofor may be a wastrel but he's the type that you'd want to know what will happen to him.

It's been a year since your last update and I hope real life is treating you well. I'm very very curious as to what happens next and hope that you will still update.

Enjoyed how Lothy cornered Eomer here about his previous trips to drenchuses. The whole language/translation thing was very, very hot and sexy.

Enjoyed the whole "conducting" dialogue! Very witty and funny and entertaining. I think she just might do and Eowyn and try to matchmake her youngest brother, but who? I still think it's not Merewyn though, but whoever gets Amrothos would certainly be very interesting as well.
The details of Eofor's bet with the guards was very annoying and I've said this before but I really wish he gets what he deserves.

Felt a bit frustrated here with Lothy and why she is so insistent on seeing Eofor or asking him to be her riding instructor even after what she and Eomer thought about but I think you have something up your sleeve here that will prove to be most satisfactory for the readers. Liked how she put him in his place and hope he learns his lesson and gets what he deserves. I'm sure Eomer won't be too pleased though. How very nice of Amrothos to go after his sister.
Appreciated the very interesting footnotes you included.
