This is fantastic! So much fun. :-)

A murder of crows? I don't think that's actually the real term, but it's fun to use... :-P

I just wanted you to know that I still read your lovely stories, I still enjoy them immensely, and I'm so happy you wrote them.

Author Reply: Thanks, Janet! To be honest, I rarely come to SoA unless it's to read your fics and I've completely dropped the ball on reposting anything here. I'm glad to know someone is still reading them, though!! That makes me happy.

What a delightful vignette! I can very much see this, you've written it so eloquently and vividly and so true to all characters. Hobbitpile it may be according to Gandalf, but I think I prefer Aragorn's "a larder of hobbits"! What fun you must have had, writing this. It definitely started my day with a smile.

That was a very delightful read. I was just about to say "a pile of hobbits!" when Gandalf beat me to it :DD

I love Aragorn seeing Boromir's obvious affection for Faramir, and how it softened him every which way!

I just revisited this delightful fic, reminded of it by a post by LilyBaggins at her LJ! It is *still* just as warm and funny and delightful as I remember it being-- thought you'd like to know it made my morning to re-read it!

Author Reply: Aw, thank you! *beams* I'm so happy to hear that! It definitely brightened my day to get this comment from you!!

Oh this one made me giggle, sweetie. I don't know the book but I'm sure it's wonderful reading it, right?

"Not even for such delights as a ‘knot of toads’ or a ‘thunder of oliphaunts’ am I willing to sacrifice my sleep.”

Priceless! I love Gandalf ...
and Boromir with tears of laughter, too.

Thank you, honey!

Author Reply: It is wonderful reading, so imaginative and clever.

I hope there were some light moments on the Road, and it was fun to write about one of them.

Thanks, sweetie! *hugs*

Oh, this is lovely, and at the same time heartwringing. The image of Boromir and Aragorn having a lighthearted moment, sharing a common memory, and Boromir's evident love for his brother, is all the more precious because we know what happened to Boromir later. And I love Gandalf's dry interjection, the Men's embarrassed silence and the sleepy murmur from the pile of hobbits. :D

Personally I like a tangle of halflings better, I don't know why. :D

Thank you so much for the wonderful read.

Both funny and touching.

I adore this story--what touching characterizations: Aragorn, Boromir, Faramir, Gandalf, etc., etc. You have done so much with so little here. You are so convincing that I find myself wishing I could get a copy of that book!

Author Reply: Thank you so much Oshun! And you may be happy to know that the book really does exist, and most libraries probably own a copy. It's a lot of fun to read, and you'd probably enjoy it. Thank you again for your kind comments!!

Loved it, especially the 'unkindness of ravens'. I have to read that book!
This was hilarious. Poor old Gandalf, all those terminology discussion must be so irritating. Oh, and Legolas' "bright dark eyes" were a treat, even though I'm not sure it was deliberate...
Cheers,
Sil

Author Reply: It's a very fun book- you should definitely read it. I'm glad you enjoyed the story! Thank you for commenting :)
