| Wake up, Sam! I loved the focus around Pippin and Merry -- their ranks among the Men, their pride in their accomplishments, and the respect with which they are viewed. Very nice to see... :-) Author Reply: the respect with which they are viewed... Seeing that the hobbits are tended to and respected is one of the themes of fanfic I love the most. | |

| Funny, I missed this when it was posted. That's what happens when you click on story alerts and they take you right to the chapter, and you don't notice chapter numbers. I just loved this part: “Strider," Pippin murmured drowsily, "did you know that Faramir and the Lady Éowyn are in love? Merry told me. He says they don’t know it yet, but... they are.” “Who are in love?” Aragorn asked in surprise. “Pippin, what did you say?” There was no answer. The young hobbit had fallen sound asleep. Author Reply: Poor Aragorn, at the mercy of a sleepy tween and his half-finished stories! :D | |

| Distinctly your-verse, I see, and a wonderful awakening for Frodo, at least. Glad he awakened surrounded by those who love him, and that Aragorn was about the first waking individual he saw. | Finally found it tonight, and get to finish it. Oh, how I hate computer problems! Love the gentleness with which the three wounded ones here are being treated. And that Merry insists on taking Frodo in his own arms. Beautiful images it brings to mind. Author Reply: Oh no, not the dread computer problems! They should ALWAYS WORK. Always. Thank you. | A beautiful celebration of a happy moment or two. As i have said before, your stories are full of Light! My favorite line,..."what is that?" he would know very well who Legolas was, but the tall young stranger had changed a good deal, on the outside, at least! Lovely ending. | Perfect, perfect! A series of beautiful images - Pip being greeted by the Men, Legolas' comment about starting with the kitchen! and Aragorn being there when Frodo awoke. But my favourite line was this one: “Hullo, Pip,” Frodo grinned. “Did we miss anything?” I just love hobbits! *happy sigh* Author Reply: Hobbits!! | My, my--we have a couple of Pippins anxious to get on their feet, lol. Yours is so sweet--I could almost see the twinkle in his eyes when he emphasized that he didn't disobey Aragorn. Everyone cheering for the lads, and Merry & Pippin having their own honoring feast is fanastic. Frodo waking up and learning of his dear cousins--all of it, is just wonderful!
