Again, I love the caring spirit filling the smial. Frodo and Aragorn are in the best of hands, it appears.

And Estel is getting a bit of a respite from being the heir of Isildur.

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner. Bag End is nothing if not a caring place to rest after everything that's happened.

I still really like Gilly - she's right on target with why 'Estel' doesn't remember. Likely being chieftain represents little to him but heartache and headaches.

Author Reply: I'm so honored that you like Gilly, yay! :D

Simply too sweet for words, Shirebound! :D

Seems all the Gamgees have a soft spot when it comes to Scamp ... as they do with Frodo and Bilbo too.

There were no gentry in all of Hobbiton more respectful and kind to him and his family than Mr. Bilbo and young Mr. Frodo, and whatever would help them through the next few days would be done... and done well.

You write Aragorn and Frodo so very well together, no matter what time in their lives. I love the caring they portray for one another and the deep friendship they share. It's alway such a delight to read (especially after working three busy nights at the hospital). It just fills one up with warmth and love.

I also really enjoy your Frodo and Bilbo scenes and their special relationship in regard to one another as well. The little added touches like Bilbo checking Frodo's fever and noticing that he had been crying make a story so much more detailed and enjoyable to read, along with showing his concern and love for Frodo. I'm in total agreement with Dreamflower that too few write Bilbo.

Yeah Gilly!! Gives her a hug for taking time to see to Bilbo's needs as well, by making sure he eats enough and hopefully relaxes some.

Looking forward to more, Shirebound!

P.S. Thank you for answering my question on posting quotes from fics. And here I thought it was something more difficult than what I thought it would be! LOL!!

Author Reply: Yay, you did italics! :D

From the first chapter of the first story in this series ("Quarantined"), Bilbo has been an integral part of the story. I've learned so much about him by writing this series! I'm so happy you're enjoying it. Warmth and love and caring... How I love bringing these into the life of a young hobbit tween, his friends, and a Ranger who's found a "home and family" with these gentle folks.

It is lovely to see everyone starting to recover. You always leave your readers feeling good.

Author Reply: Awww, thank you, Linda. I really appreciate that. :D

*squee* Frodo and Aragorn cuddling - can I wriggle in there somewhere, please?
It was so wonderful to see the love between them and Aragorn's concern over Frodo's injuries.

I really like Halfred - you can tell he's Sam's brother, full of kindness and common sense. I always think Bell Gamgee lived for a good while (? dying in the year of Bilbo's infamous party) because Sam clearly knew a mother's love.
I just want to ruffle Halfred's curls every time he appears.

Scamp with chew toy.............. Can that pup get any more cute!

Author Reply: Thanks, BB! A story with no cuddling... horrors!

There was nothing our own dog loved more than munching away on a brand-new chew toy. Surely Shire pups are the same!

:D

Delightful chapter - a ranger with a headache, a highly pregnant pup, ready to burst, a concerned Bilbo and a friendly, helpful Halfred... very hobbity! Thank you for this beautiful tale!

Author Reply: Thank *you*! I'm so glad you're enjoying this. :D

This is such a nice lovely comforting chapter! I'm really looking forward to seeing Scamp's pups!

I'd just like to say a little bit about your Halfred. He's such a lovely young hobbit, very practical and considerate--you can so easily see that he is a very good role model for his little brother! I really like him!

Author Reply: Thanks, Dreamflower. I'm looking forward to the pups, myself!

I enjoy writing the Gamgees as a practical, loving, hard-working family. It brings them to life for me.

Oh dear, Frodo must REALLY be sleepy if he's forgoing breakfast for the moment! Absolutely loved this scene of Frodo and Aragorn talking together in the bed, especially (as you probably would guess) Aragorn suddenly being all serious and concerned when learning of Frodo's injury (do I ever tire of this? No). And I do have to say I like Halfred a LOT----so nice to see him in a fic!

Delightful and adorable chapter!

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I can't remember if I ever wrote about Halfred before. I like him, too! I imagine all the Gamgees as very solicitous and protective when it comes to Bilbo and Frodo.

Almost too many good things to list, such as

breakfast in bed for Frodo and Estel and Scamp
(this makes me hungry)

snuggling

Gamgees being kind

hobbits being grateful

mail

Aragorn starting to remember

Bilbo sleeping in

Will have to reread to find the rest! Hooray!

Author Reply: Awwwww. Thank you, Amy! It's lovely to write a snuggly chapter. :D

As usual, this is a wonderful chapter of a wonderful story.

Sam is going to get one of the puppies, right?

Author Reply: Thanks, Endaewen! As for the puppies... we'll see! *grins*
