Oh, how very wonderful!! *beams* I love it, I love it, I love it!! Ivy and Tully, how perfect! And little Goldilocks has at last made her appearance. :) What a very happy end to this lovely story, BB.
God bless,
Galadriel

P.S. I forgot to say in my review of "A New Road" that I love that Frodo-lad married Violet!

Author Reply: I wanted a happy ending for Ivy and Tully - they so deserve it.

Had to get little Goldie in there - she will have an important part to play after all.

*happy sniffles* Oh, just lovely, and I'm so glad Ivy will get some happiness!

Author Reply: Nothing like a wedding for inducing happy sniffles. Glad you enjoyed, and I thought it was more than time that Ivy found some happiness.

Wonderful conclusion to this story, BB! I had already thought Ivy should remarry, but didn't know just *whom*. Now I am happy - Tully and Ivy and their families deserve a bit of happiness. And this time poor Ivy got a *proper* wedding, with a wonderful dress (was grinning through the whole time in the shop, while they bought the silk!) and Frodo to stand up with her and all :-)

Ah, I loved Frodo as 'bossy' nurse. Nice role reversal, wasn't it? And it seems he has spared Sam and Rose the long discussions about how to name their children. Useful, this foresight *grin*

My only complaint is that Aragorn has to celebrate his 100. birthday without his four favourite hobbits. But here it is JRRT himself who is to blame - how inconsiderate of him to have Rosie had her sixth baby just at that time!

I'm sorry to see this story end, but I trust you will have more Reunion-verse stories for me, as I think you know already how much I love them.

Author Reply: I enjoyed writing the role reversal with Frodo as a bossy nurse. And you're right - that foresight is useful! :-))

I loved describing the wedding dress and the preparations. And naturally Frodo had to stand for her - who else?

Yes, it was inconsiderate of the Professor to have Rosie pregnant again just when they should have gone to Gondor for the King's birthday. I'm sure the hobbits will all be celebrating at home though, and Aragorn can watch them in the palantir.

Lots more Reunion-verse stories to come, I'm sure. Glad you like reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.

What a perfectly delightful wedding!!

So...now what happens *next* in Reunion-verse? *grin*

Author Reply: Thanks, Dreamflower! Glad you enjoyed the wedding - you do Shire weddings brilliantly i must say.

Ah.....what does happen next? I may actually start telling the stories of the younger Gamgees soon.....then there's the King's 100th birthday, Merry becoming Master.............. Hmmmm. Lots of material yet! :-))

Applause!!!
That was a perfect ending and as Shirebound put it "a joyous and lovely conclusion". I could not have said it better.

I love happy endings, especially if they involve Frodo Baggins :)

And I'm also happy for Ivy and Tully!

"Both have known sadness and hardship and it's a wonderful thing that they have found each other." I agree with Sam!

Thank you very much for this story. I'm looking forward to reading more installments of your Reunion universe.

Author Reply: Plenty more to come in 'Reunion-verse' I'm glad to say. I'm glad that you enjoyed it - I thought Ivy and Tully both deserved some happiness and I'd not really written a wedding in detail before.

It's good to see a happy outcome for poor Ivy! That was a much better wedding than her first - and there is no doubt that she is under the protection of some very important hobbits.

Goldilocks is a little poppet, too. (Although maybe Sam and Rosie should have stopped at three of each. They're not yet halfway through child-production!)

Author Reply: Thought it was time Ivy had some happiness after all the trouble she's experienced.
Phew! There's a thought - not half-way through child production! Some hobbits never know when to stop!

Sigh...Only one more thing would have made this even more perfect. That would have been Aragorn, Arwen, Faramir, Eowyn and the Children being able to watch this in the palantir. :oD Then again, who's to say they didn't. :o)

What a perfect way to end the story. Both Ivy and Tully have been through so much and how lovely for the both of them to have found each other. Also another good influence for the boys as well.

Also loved how Ivy was worrying over the cost of the material for the dress and there's Rose *knowing* thanks to Frodo the cost was not a problem. :o) Ivy coming in to ask Frodo to stand for her...Loved that!!

Sigh...And I have a feeling another visit to the Reunion universe has come to an end. Can't wait for the next one. :o)

Author Reply: Of course Aragorn and the others were watching! they couldn't resist, I'm sure.

Tully will be a great influence on the lads, and he and Ivy really deserve a happy ending.

Sad that the story has come to an end but these characters never cease to be an inspiration and there will be more.

I've spent a wonderful evening reading this story. I feel as if I have spent an intersting and comfortable year in Hobbiton learning more about the lives of dear Hobbits already known and making the aquaintance of new friends. I love the charming way you describe the daily goings on in the Shire. Sam and Rosie's family is large and at times rambunctious, but there is such love and peace there. I am so happy that you allowed Frodo to reamin in Middle Earth and be a part of it. It was a pleasure getting to know Ivy and her family as well. It's always a pleasure to spend time in Hobbiton and you have certainly painted a vivid and lively picture of the town and its inhabitants.

Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed your extended visit to Hobbiton. I love writing about our beloved hobbits and their friends come along and insist on being included.
Ivy and her family first appeared in 'The Neighbourly Thing To Do' and have been great fun to write.

I think Sam and Rose's family would have been a riot!

What a joyous and lovely conclusion. You certainly tied up all the loose ends, and gave everyone a happily ever after. Frodo 'oversees' his extended family with such wisdom, justice, and generosity. *happy sigh*

Author Reply: *Echoes Shirebounds happy sigh*
Glad you enjoyed - have to have a happy ending and it is nice to tie up those loose ends. Frodo is wise and generous - what a wonderful hobbit.

Finally got to sit down and catch up! I guess it took me long enough, didn't it? But I've been soooo busy in these last weeks before Christmas!

Oh, poor Mac! :( And only two more years for Saradoc? :( :( So sad! It's so strange how deaths come in threes sometimes. I haven't had many in the family, but if you count pets (I do) we once had three dear ones go one month after another: my dog, my grandfather, and a baby chick who had been my little anchor while Grandpa was so sick.

But the Yuletide cheer and peace really balanced out the angst. I so love the greeting Frodo received on his return and the lovely little picture Sam and Rosie got to see the next morning. No, indeed Bag End isn't the same without our Frodo, and that is one reason I love this AU so much, even though, according to Tolkien, he could not have remained and survived.

The little scene in the Sandyman home was wonderful! There's domestic peace! :) So wonderful to see the children laughing and teasing and chasing one another, and Ivy happy at last. Ted was truly cruel. *hugs Ivy and the children*

A toy model of Minas Anor! How fun! :) That I would love to see! :) And the painting is wonderful.

And what will the new year bring? :)
God bless and Merry Christmas!
Galadriel

Author Reply: What a delightful surprise, to find this review. It did take you a long time but I'm very glad you finally got round to it.

yes, I've noticed how often my pets have gone in threes - if I lose two I now superstitiously break a match to 'break the cycle' and prevent a third!

I thought it was time the Sandyman family discovered domestic peace, and enjoyed a Bag End Yule too. Poor Mac did not live long for a hobbit but he is remembered with love.

I think we'd all like a model of Minas Anor, and a painting of Gandalf and Shadowfax would be a wonderful thing to hang on the wall.

We shall see what the new year will bring for Ivy and her family......

Merry Christmas and Happy Yule!
