I loved hearing a tale from Frodo like that, and younger Merry is adorable! I especially loved how Bilbo was nodding his head to what the both of them and not understanding a thing

Author Reply: This was a fun story to write. Frodo and Merry had to be best friends, especially when Frodo lived in Buckland.

This was the sweetest thing to read on a sad day, and it made me laugh so much!:D Thank you for sharing!<3<3<3

Author Reply: Adanwen, I'm delighted this little tale brought a smile to your face when you needed it. Thank you for letting me know that. Bless our hobbits, and bless the Professor for bringing them into our lives!

Blue hair, hmm? Yes, that would be quite ... vivid. :-P

I bet w all the hobbits running around Brandy Hall, they're not the only two with 'squeezles.' But it's easy to see how they became so close -- there's just something about going through that kind of thing together ...

Thanks for writing!

Author Reply: Thank you so much. This was such a fun story to write.

Oh, this was cute.
Poor Merry and Frodo, but at least they were together in their misery.
So some matronly Hobbits Have blue hair do they, not something you see too much of these days, both blue hair and matronly Hobbits?!

What a lovely tale - you must know how much I love snuggly, recovering hobbits, and that story was so funny. Fancy Frodo trying to sell baby Merry!
I could just see that little hobbit baby covered in lip rouge too!

Delightful, as always

Author Reply: Awww, thank you. I definitely share your love of snuggly, cared-for, recovering hobbits, wee or adult.

Blue hair? Aunt Amaranth has BLUE hair? Hehehehehe! Poor Merry, for sale and Frodo gets some coins and he gets covered with lip rouge! Lovely tale of two young lads on the mend.

Author Reply: Thank you. This fic challenge on Livejournal was to write a story tailored to someone else's 'wishlist', and I had a lot of fun with it. Poor Aunt Amaranth, assuming everyone's appreciating her lovely hair! :)

Ooooh....What a lovely and wonderfully fluffy thing to find on a blustery and rainy October night.

Hurries over and huggles poor sick wee hobbit lads

I had the squeezles when I was eight and it was Christmas time to boot!! Not one of my more enjoyable Christmases or favourite childhood memories as I'm sure you can imagine.

What is it w/sibling jealousy over a brand new baby and that older brother/sister wanting to sell the little one or give him/her away? It seems every kid tries to pull that one off. I was wondering when my cousin's young lady was going to try it w/her three month old baby brother and sure enough...Guess what kind of an offer was made to my parents when they were up for a visit a couple of weeks ago? Miss Julia's parents were less than pleased as you can imagine. ;o)

This was just so wonderfully fluffy. Exactly what was needed after the last few weeks I've had. I'm planning on doing an entry over at my LJ on what exactly's been going on for the last close to five years w/this thing. One of my oldest and dearest friends has been after me to do that and to try and get some advice of what to do or who to turn to next, but after the last three and a half weeks and the visit to the ER last Friday...I don't think time is on my side for much longer.

But that is for tomorrow/later today since it's 3:30am here right now. Oh and when ever I read about an elderly lady/hobbit matron having blue/purple hair, I instantly see in my mind's eye that scene in Fried Green Tomatoes when Jessica Tandy's character's had her hair done by the Hair Dressing School students who come in as part of volunteer service they do at the Nursing Home. What kills me every time is the look of delight she has on her face over how lovely a job the little itty bitty girl did of it too. The look on Kathy Bates' face when she sees her w/this...this...blue hair and doesn't want to burst her friend's bubble. One of my very favourite movies scenes period!! :o)

This was just so perfect for a windy night and a cup of Chai Tea. Ohhhh....I just can't resist doing this one last time before taking off...

Runs over and gives Frodo and Merry one last huggle.

:oD

Author Reply: The hobbits are just delighted with all your huggles, Tigger! I'm so glad this could cheer up your blustery night. I don't think either of us can ever get enough of fluffy, happy hobbits. *huggles you right back*

Delightful shirebound! I love the "Squeezles", and the story about Frodo going about the Hall offering a cute baby Merry for sale is precious.

Author Reply: Thank you, Pearl. I do love wee!hobbits. :)

Oh *happy grin*. I almost wish I had the squeezles. But only if I also had Frodo AND Bilbo to tell me a story!

Author Reply: I agree, the squeezles would only be bearable if we were surrounded by tale-telling, snuggly hobbits. :)
