The word "cute" certainly does come to mind, for some reason...must try to think why. Gimme a few days, I'll come up with something or other.....:D:D:D:D

*tries to think why the word "cute" comes to mind*

*clueless*

*sighs*

*thinks some more*

*getting exasperated*

Author Reply: Oh dear, did some 'cute' get into this story by mistake? However does that keep happening... :)

Perfect, shirebound!

And with the last two words you even answered my question concerning aunt Amaranth's hair colour ;-)

“He didn’t, though,” Merry said confidently. “But I got all kissed so he got the squeezles with me, because Aunt Amaranth said so.”

LOL!!! If I didn't know better, I would say that this is "Pippish" :)

Author Reply: Awwww, Pippish! I love that word. I'm glad you enjoyed this bit o' fluff. :D

A fun story! Bilbo's reactions are just adorable. Just a tad of angst/heartache for Merry though who doesn't know that his world is about to collapse. But nice to see Frodo joyful. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: It's very important to me that Frodo is joyful. Thank you for reading!

That's lovely!!! And it reminds me of a story I wanted to write - multi chaptered!!! Hopefully I will find time for that one fine day in 5 years.

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed! I hope we *all* find time somehow to write all the stories we want to share.

This is a very funny story. I think that Frodo was very naughty to try and sell Merry, and I think they both deserved the measles for all their pranks.

Author Reply: Thank you, Dinossiel. I had fun writing this. :)

Oops, just realised I meant "favouritest" cousin. I knew that didn't look right when I typed it!

Tiniest hobbit is ill today, might be strep, we're tootling along to the doctor's later this morning for a swab. I'm going to read Aunt Amaranth's Revenge aloud, as soon as I'm done typing this, to cheer the miserable little soul, and thanks so much for providing such appropriate and cheering reading matter. (Come to think of it, littlest was awfully cute as a baby...)

Author Reply: I hope this little fluff-fest cheers up your wee one, and that he (or she) feels much better soon.

*leaning back in my chair with a chuckle*

O but this was *exactly* what I needed this morning!

Pure fluff but such *pure* fluff if you take my meaning.

I love the obvious love between Frodo and Merry (poor Merry, about to be abandoned by his favouritist cousin, and blissfully unaware of the fact), Bilbo's easy way with the boys, the *vivid* shade of hair (but don't say it to her face)...

Perfectly done, as always.

(And Merry is to swoon for, o so cute. How *could* Frodo bear to leave him? Bet he was tempted to smuggle him along in the baggage.)
Merry started to count that up, but ran out of fingers and toes.

Author Reply: Yay, I'm glad this gave you a chuckle when you needed it. Thank you so much. :)

Oh, this was so sweet and funny. And a bit sad, thinking of Frodo getting his payback. I wish it truly was getting "spotted" like Merry, only maybe not by doting gammers. :)

Author Reply: I can never get enough of sweet 'n fluffy! Thankfully, the lads are recovering nicely, and it made for a fun story to tell Merry.
