Hi Katzilla,I have enjoyed this story from the start.I am very glad that you have decided to finish it.It gives a interesting insight to Eomer's character. He already has the makings of the King we know and love. Can't wait for your next story.Galathil

Author Reply: Hi Galathil!

Thanks so much for your lovely comment! I am very happy that I was at last able to finish this story; I hate unfished stories myself, but usually, there is nothing you can do if your muse stops talking to you. Fortunately, mine is still around and I hope the next outing of Éomer and his boys will also be of amusement to you. :-)

Very best wishes,
Katzilla

What a joy to see this posted tonight - a perfect end to a less than perfect day...and I love how all the pieces came together! You captured the fiery tempers of the Rohirrim, as well as their sense of what is fair. That all the tensions come to a head and are dealt with, and afterwards the men have a chance to relax and enjoy a bit of quiet time during this long war is a nice touch, too. I would think they would need time like that to keep from losing hope.

I did enjoy your 'casting' notes as well - Chris Hemsworth as a man of Rohan...hmmmmm. Yup, I could see that...and what a nice image, too!!!

I do hope you and your Muse remain on speaking terms...hopefully she didn't take the whip cracking too personally - because I have grown rather fond of this eored, and would welcome more stories about them!!

Thanks so much for your kind words; I was very happy to be able to end this story; nothing like an unfinished story to make me feel completely dissatisfied (although usually, there's nothing you can do if your muse stops talking to you).

I'm glad you liked my ending (I pretty much busted my brain cells to come up with the right *punishment* that would let Elfhelm keep his authority but consider everything that had happened.

Yes, Chris Hemsworth as man of Rohan... wouldn't that be a sight (although the poor horse that must carry him!)?! I can't wait to see "The Avengers" next year, I hope it will be as good as "Thor".

As for my muse: Perhaps you already noticed, but she's still around and the boys are ready to go on another adventure, as well (very surprisingly after what I did to them in their last outing)! I hope you will enjoy it!

Best,
Katja

Katzilla, so good that you were able to finish this wonderful story. I liked the final arrangements, I liked that the Eored trusted his captain and accepted the punishment. And, I liked Eomer's new maturity, that he is learning taking steps to become the greater King of the Mark. Very touching the end, the passing of the luck charm was very symbolic.
Thanks again and I really hope that you continue writing.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia,

and thanks so much for your wonderful comment(s)! I'm happy to read that you agree with Elfhelm's decision, as I had quite a hard time to come up with it. And yes, Éomer definitely learned a thing or two about responsibility on Halifieren (after all, if he wants to be a Marshal at 24, he still has a certain amount of growing up still to do).

The boys are already back for another outing, as you have perhaps already seen, and I hope you will enjoy this tale just as much!

Best wishes,
Katja
