What a wonderful dream. I wouldn't mind one like that myself. But, just how did the holly sprig become tucked in Aragorn's laces? Maybe the elves do possess a bit of magic.

Author Reply: Hi Tari. Well, of course, that is the question. Was it really just a dream or something more? Certainly Lord Irmo pulled out all the stops on this one. *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you enjoyed this tale.

Rereading this I note that a line or two from the movies has slipped in,
"It is a good dream." from one of the few scenes in the movies when Aragorn is not in scruffy ranger mode, not that here is anything wrong with scruffy ranger mode, it has inspired a lot of Aragorn needs a bath fics!
This is such a very sweet and loving fic for everyone, not just Aragorn and Arwen but all the people in Imlardris and Halbarad and the Rangers.
Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Well, given the storyline, it really was a good line to use. *LOL* I think this is a sweet and loving tale for everyone, too. Glad you enjoyed this as much the second time round as the first. Thanks for letting me know, Lynda. I much appreciate it.

I find I often bless Lord Irmo for his thoughtfulness! Yes, a perfect evening, even if he didn't make it home to stay for the winter....

Author Reply: As do I, Larner. It was a perfect evening for everyone, one that they will all treasure for years to come. And eventually Aragorn will be reunited with his family and the reunion will be the sweeter for it being delayed. Thanks for reading and reviewing and Merry Christmas.

Oh, dearest Fiondil, thank you for this lovely Christmas present! I'm sitting here trying not to cry... between this tale and having listened to a recording of another dear friend singing "Silent Night" to his baby girl, I'm all awash!

I could just see everything as if I were there. You've always had a gift for description, and it really shines here.

This brings back memories of my story "At the Last Minute", but is far better!

My favorite part was when Elrond interrupted him and Arwen while they were kissing. *grin* Well, and the holly sprig, of course.

Thank you, Lord Irmo, for giving Estel such a wonderful gift. I'm sure it sustained him for a long time when he was forced to be away from his home.

Merry Christmas, Fiondil! Again, well done and thanks!

Author Reply: Hello, Rhyselle. You are very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed this tale. Merry Christmas to you, as well.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Fiondil! when I read this story I can only think of this: I'll be home on Christmas, if only in my dreams....Now I have the song replaying all over in my mind.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Perhaps I was thinking of the song when I wrote this, but perhaps not. *grin* Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for letting me know. Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year to you!

Happy Yule, Atar Fiondil. *hugs* Thank you so much for this lovely gift at the Solstice. (Not exactly the Valar in pink, but hey...this is wonderful too!)

I love Aragorn's shared dream...and that holly sprig was a nice touch! How lovely of Lord Irmo to grant him a remembrance of his dream. I'm so glad it all worked out for Aragorn!

Again, Happy Yule, Joyous Mettare, and Merry Christmas :)

Tye-melin, Atar indonyo,

Kaylee

Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. You are most welcome. I enjoyed writing this story even though I wrote it in the middle of summer. *LOL* I'm glad you loved the dream. Thanks for letting me know. Happy Yule to you as well. *grin*

I knew Aragorn would find the holly sprig when he woke up! :) After all, there *is* magic about that dream, isn't it? :)
The dream is such a beautiful gift to Aragorn for Yule, and this is such a beautiful story. Thank you.

Author Reply: Hi Ellynn. I'm so glad you enjoyed this story, especially the magical aspects of it, for Yule is nothing if not a season of magic and wonder, isn't it? Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.
