| A terrible thing to see--Merry and Pippin being taken by whatever has taken possession of the Palantir. What Maia was aboard the rescue ship, I wonder? She's a nasty one. obviously. | The tension is growing! It is true, they are all separated now. But maybe it was the same flickering light they saw and they will be together again very soon. But what awaits them there? | Hopefully with both Frodo and Legolas down there in this chasm they will be able to help one another. And it does sound as if Merry is hot on poor Pippin's trail! And SHE sounds just awful! Poor Frodo, and poor Aragorn having to try to deal with the Hobbit's frustrations when he's having to deal with his own! Author Reply: I hope *SHE* will be a big surprise for you! | Wow! Should I say that Frodo and Legolas found a wider entrance or did *it* find them? I hope they both are well and can continue the search! Concerning characteristics Frodo and Aragorn have much in common here. That's probably the major reason for their continuing arguments. Will there be a winner in the end?
