| I read this a few weeks ago and meant to leave a review but real life got in the way (bleh!). I really enjoyed this story. It was full of suspense and there were times when I was (metaphorically speaking) biting my nails and sitting on the edge of my seat wondering if they were going to find Elladan in time. I liked the way the Elves dealt with the evil mayor and his despicable son and the way they rewarded the young couple who cared for Elladan. A well thought-out story with a very satisfying ending. Author Reply: Hi Fiondil, thanks so much for the review. I´ve nearly forgotten about the story, albeit it was always my favourite. I´m glad you liked the story and that the suspense worked. Hope you have any nails left? I considered how the elves should deal with the men and thought first about something like a death sentence, but then remembered that elves would not like kinslaying und resented to this version and many agreed with me including you. | Why did they not just take Elrohir with them in the wagon... Author Reply: I have considered this, but I think Elrond did not want another ill child in the wild, rather he wanted to bring Elladan home as quickly as possible to bring them together and initiate the true healing. Lai | |
