I love this revisiting of the former vision, with it now being a reality, his own beloved wife the woman offering refreshment!

A joyful Good Friday to you!

Wishing you a joyful Easter Day!

Ah, I love seeing Aragorn as the Priest-King, even if it is merely in vision. And this vision is a needful one for the sensitive man who knelt in that future before him.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated reviews. I love having a chance to show Aragorn as the Priest-King.

A far too grim awakening for this warrior who would far rather be on the farm than on the battlefield. Well done!

How wonderful the sight of that first apple must have been; and you bring it all to life here for us, through Faramir.

Faramir, you really need to go home and party in Minas Tirith for a few days. Falling asleep on battlefields can be dangerous to your health!

But it does make for a lovely drabble...

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. i agree faramir needs some rest, but I think the battle was over or nearly over when he had the vision. I'm pleased you liked this.

I really love this drabble - the imagery is so vivid and strong; the description of a happy, productive harvest day; and then we are brought back to a far less pleasant day, that future far away. At least the reader, unlike Faramir, knows for certain that the golden future in his vision will come true.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review,so far my only one here! I'm delighted you enjoyed this drabble. It was one of those that just jumped into my head and those usually turn out better than those I labour and agonise over!
