Wnderful that they are home safely, healed fully from all their hurts!

This quest was successful. Too bad they had to do it, though, although there are always those who think to steal all from others, including their lives.

They are Elrond's children after all! Excellent!

How joyous! And what a blessed relief to Elrond!

Ah, a lovely picture, the brothers having regained their joy again! A very nice close to the series.

Author Reply: 'the brothers having regained their joy again!' Thank you - yes, that's what I wanted to show here :)

protective Glorfindel. How yummy! Poor elrohir!

Author Reply: Yes, Glorfindel rather took me by surprise with his barely hidden fury at anyone who would harm Elrond's sons!

Very nice follow-up to "Ambush". You show the seething emotions under Glorfindel's stoic exterior perfectly. I would not have wanted to be one of the members of that party.

Author Reply: Thank you! I knew I had to write a sequel, and had the basic outline planned, but then had to wait for the propmt to see how it all fitted together. Elladan is less restrained, but Glorfindel tries to be more controlled.

Very nice! There's a breathless quality to the pace of his drabble, one that ends leaving you feeling your own jaw jut with determination just as Elrond's must have. (And like so many drabbles do, leave me wanting to see what happened before and what happens next!)

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm really glad the sense of urgency came across - it's so difficult to do in a drabble.

I'll have to see if I can fit a sequel around the next prompt!

Poor Elrohir! At least Elladan was able to get ot him and save him.

You really need to write a longer story about the twins again.

Author Reply: Well, I couldn't leave him there, could I? :>)

'You really need to write a longer story about the twins again.'
I know. I want to, but the muses seem to have disappeared! At the moment all I can manage are drabbles.

Aha! The cry of children everywhere. I recognise it well.

Author Reply: 'I recognise it well.' Don't we all? I've heard it many times!
