| Caught up on these last two chapters - I love that the 'you are there' continues. What a great welcome to see so many familiar faces, though not the ones that were the most beloved, and to be treated with such love, respect, honor and words of coming home. Perhaps this was close to what it was like for Frodo and Bilbo. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Sam is very good as getting all the important details. :) Sam has lots of friends, even here in Elvenhome, who are eager to greet him and make him feel at home. And yes, I imagine it's very close to the reception Frodo and Bilbo received. | |

| I do suspect that whatever form Olorin might take by this time, that Samwise would recognize him anyway! Home, for what time he chooses to remain. Author Reply: I think that Gandalf would try his best to look as much like Gandalf of old as he could, but even given that, his wardrobe is bound to be different! | |

| ... as if I’m someone important to be getting a glimpse at. Silly hobbit! Of course he is important! It is very good that they all were there to welcome him home. But will he feel at home without Bilbo and Frodo? Maybe we'll find out more in the next chapter. Author Reply: You know Sam - ever humble! I imagine once Sam gets settled in, he'll feel very much at home, just as Bilbo did in Rivendell all those years. | |

| I step off the gangplank and into Gandalf’s arms. I didn't expect that; how wonderful. Author Reply: Gandalf would want to be there for Sam's arrival, I'm sure, especially if Frodo wasn't going to be there. :) | |
