To The End of His Days  by GamgeeFest 5 Review(s)

I love Gildor's recognition that he'd been in the company of great folk then. Yes, great individuals hidden inside those who appear small and ordinary.

Author Reply: Gildor had learned much about the greatness of hobbits. And that size truly doesn't matter. ;)

Sam has so many friends, all of whom are overjoyed to see him and spend time with him. I'm glad he finds the food 'grand'!

Author Reply: Sam has more friends than he would have even thought. He'll be in good company while here. And good food makes everything better. ;)

I am glad to see you again, elf-friend.

That is what Gildor called Frodo a long time ago.
Apart from being a title, it shows perfectly the relationship between Sam and the Elves of Tol Eressea: They are friends among friends!

Author Reply: If anyone deserves the title after Frodo (and Bilbo) that would be Sam. He'll carry it well and proudly.

I love Gildor's words. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Gildor knows how to sweet talk a hobbit, doesn't he! ;)

Just lovely as always!

And this was wonderful:

“I knew only that I was in the company of great beings. How great even I could not then foresee. I am glad to see you again, elf-friend.”

Author Reply: Thank you!

Gildor has learned not to underestimate hobbits. ;)
