To The End of His Days  by GamgeeFest 6 Review(s)

How wonderful that Frodo left those painting for his brother! It must have helped him as well and made him feel a little bit still connected with those he loved, even those he never met physically.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I'm sure they were a great help to both of them, and Frodo would have taken comfort in knowing they'd be there for Sam, if he eventually came.

Oh, yes--how wonderful! Yes, a perfect gift to receive on this day, the realization the Frodo knew at least in part what was going on at home, through the Palantir of Avallone or perhaps through his own foresight.

And through this, Sam's own memories are brought to life, remembering the good times, the joyful, fruitful times, when love surrounded all of them!

Excellent!

Author Reply: This is indeed a two-fold discovery isn't it? Sam didn't think to find such wonders and now he has a portrait of his own family to gaze upon - and a very important question to ask Gandalf. :)

Oh, how lovely! To think that Frodo somehow had a way to glimpse the life and loved ones he'd left behind...

I just started reading this (don't remember if I'd read any of the previous chapters in the past -- I just now took a peek at the latest two "because they were there") and am quite enjoying Sam's voice, and the pictures he's painting of Frodo's life as he pieces it together. No sorrowful paintings -- that's a hopeful sign of healing...

Thanks! Looking forward to catching up on earlier chapters next time.

Author Reply: Hello, friend! Glad to see you're enjoying these last few chapters. :)

Frodo has indeed been healed and enjoyed a long and blissful retirement in the Blessed Realm, as Sam continues to discover. :D

Wow! That is wonderful!

So, Frodo must have found a way to have a look at what the others were doing.

Gandalf will know more about it, I'm sure.

Author Reply: Gandalf always knows more than he lets on. ;) Sam will be getting his answers soon enough.

That's wonderful! I wonder, did he have prescient dreams of these scenes? Or perhaps he occasionally took a peek in a palantir?

I'm so glad your Frodo is an artist! That's a bit of fanon that I love very much!

Author Reply: Your questions have now been answered. :)

Frodo would need to find an outlet for that energy after he gave up his scoundrely ways.

No memory painted these.

How wonderful. There's no end to the joyous surprises Sam is experiencing.

Author Reply: Sam has much to discover still. He does have more to learn than he ever thought possible. :)
