| I love everyone warming up after the doggies rescue the children. And I loved all the things for market day--I felt I was in the excitement of the market with them and how generative such an exchange can be--something that gets lost in our consumerist culture--you really caught the richness of material cultural exchange. I loved Arwen being the best archer and the line about why--all that Elvish practice time. Hehehe! And Pippin working through the issues of allowing and then not allowing the snowmen to visit the Shire. And Pippin and Merry's delight in Frodo's healing at the end. Author Reply: Thank you so much! | amber was sacred to their people, and only the leaders of a Ruling Clan were permitted to wear it. Hmmm, I have this feeling that they might make an exception when it comes to the King Elessar :) And now I'm dying to know what that surprise is!! | Ah, Aragorn has a surprise in store for everyone. Can't wait to find out what it is. And that was shrewd of Frodo to tell them about the pearls that had been lost. I'm sure there will be a good deal of horse trading over those pearls now. *grin* Author Reply: I'm very glad you like the idea about the pearls. I'm sure the visitors have been trying very hard to come up with something they could offer in trade for horses. Aragorn had one surprise planned even before he left Minas Tirith, but since getting to know the visitors, there might be something else as well.... :) | |

| It is good to see the Snowmen so accepted. I would love to read a sequel in which Aragorn and the Hobbits visit them. Author Reply: I would love to read one, too!
