A Long and Weary Way  by Canafinwe 3 Review(s)

Being prisoner of the orcs is terrifying. How can Aragorn use the Ithilien rangers for help without having too many questions asked? Otoh, he needs some time to rest and recover his strength. Help from the rangers would come in handy.

'Surely the Men of the Eye could come up with more creative means to torment a prisoner than dangling him from a tree,'

That's so clever.

Rangers, yay! I'm so relieved! *whew*

Author Reply: Hee. Glad you thought so!

And yes... At least there's someone with less-than-murderous intentions nearby at last! Couldn't pass through Ithilien without running across the Rangers, could we?

Saw this was posted last night and waited until this morning to read. You can give me nightmares! How are you getting poor Aragorn out of this one? I do understand his need for secrecy, but he sure could use some rest and food from the rangers. Looking forward to the next update. Thanks.

Author Reply: Nightmares? Moi? (*innocent eyes*)

I agree: a few days' rest are just what he needs! It's definitely tempting to have him fall in with the Rangers!
