Gorgeous chapter! The descriptions of Aragorn healing were perfect. And I loved Ivorwen's emphatic statement at the end!

Author Reply: Thank you so! It is wonderful to explore Ivorwen's character in this fic. Thank you again!

That was a perfect demonstration of Aragorn's healing abilities.
Not only the healing hands but also the Singing and the invocations (or prayers) that he learned from Elrond were essential for his quick success.

Now there was no question he was flushing.

But still, he is just a young man like all the others and behaves like them. I like this very much!

Author Reply: He is indeed a young Man, with all of the uncertainties that the others have, although with more experience at warfare and other skills, but with far less experience at reading Men's feelings or understanding their reactions.

Thank you so, Andrea!

Ivorwen was lucky that Aragorn was there and Aragorn could show off his talents without showing off if you take my meaning. His healing hands were needed and even if someone else would have been able to do it, Aragorn could do it in a better way.

Author Reply: Yes, most fortunate for both of them, I think. Aragorn is indeed coming into his own.

I love the healing description. The prayers and thanks seem very much like something he would have been taught by Elrond, along with the physical aspect.

It's nice that everyone can be calm about him not knowing all his family members -- No making him feel more awkward about it, just 'we'll catch up w each other later'...

I'm enjoying, thanks for writing!

Author Reply: In my-verse the prayer of invocation is one he and Sam both tend to use frequently, Sam having found it in an Elvish herbal that Frodo had copied for Bilbo as a gift from Menegilda and having learned it off in the Common Tongue as something both Elvish and beautiful, even if he didn't properly understand it at first.

And there is time for these to approach Aragorn quietly and without a lot of fanfare, or so I'd think. Seeing he'd wished to ease into Dunedain society as he had, I don't believe they'd want to "out" him precipitously.

Thanks so!

Great job on this chapter, helping Peredrian develop the legitimacy he will need. Thanks for your hard work on this and happy Thanksgiving.

Author Reply: Thanks so, Matt. Am trying to actually get this finished as well as "Stirring Rings," which also has proved difficult to keep flowing properly. Yes, Peredhrion is indeed proving himself as one who holds both the King's Gifts and the wisdom to use them well.

And a joyful Thanksgiving to you, too.

I realise although I have been reading this story since you first started posting it I have never left a review. I love the interaction in this chapter - and knowing your story of how the patrol came to know who this strange elf-man truly was I can sense it coming closer. I keep finding myself re-reading your stories - which shows how much I enjoy your fanon :)

Author Reply: It has been a time since I heard from you, and you know how pleased it makes me to hear from you now! I am truly honored by the comments you've made, and thank you so for letting me know. Yes, the time draws closer indeed!

Hope to have the next chapter up soon. My hard drive went dead on me, and I reluctantly need to get a new computer soon! Aargh!

Thank you so!

I have just read the reviews that have been posted so far. I, too, an needle-phobic, and so I can empathize. A real-life modern-day doctor with Aragorn's gifts as well as access to modern medicine would be useful indeed!

Author Reply: Oh, I know I am not alone in being needle-phobic. It's difficult, isn't it? There have been very few who can come at me with a hypodermic in hand without me running for the hills. I'd love to meet another true healer like Aragorn! I've seen so few who can keep me from panicking.

It's wonderful that even so early in his life Aragorn is giving people hope. The healing was such a nicely-written scene.

Author Reply: Oh, yes, his childhood name is carrying over, I suspect. Thank you so, Shirebound!

I suspect that there is many a modern patient who would benefit from such holistic, drug free, healing but, on the other hand we have much to be grateful for in terms of new medications. Still loving this Larner.

Author Reply: I so agree. I'd rather be treated so myself! As one who is horribly needle-phobic, I do wish we had more people who could do as Aragorn could. But he would have loved to have the use of antibiotics, I'm certain.
