That would have broken Aragorn's heart to be late but then he received the consolation of that bright light. Great to see that. :). Happy Yule :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: I cannot imagine that knowing so many he honored and loved were leaving on that ship must have torn at his heart, but he would have been relieved to know they were truly on their way to reunion and healing. Thank you so!

Sorry to be late again in reading and loving this little piece. Wonderful stuff, Frodo holding the light up and Gandalf's power and its blessed answer. ;) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Yes, blessed indeed, Antane. Thank you so much!

So beautiful chapters, both sweet and bitter. I had tears in my eyes for Frodo with his little lamp and Aragorn when he was late for the ship. But he felt the straight road within him it seems. Well he has a bit of the elves about him from uncle Elros.Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you🎆🎉 Author Reply: With Elrond as his ever-so-great uncle and foster father and Elros as his ancestor he definitely had a strong Elvish strain in his blood, I'm certain. And I had to have Frodo sustained to hold up the Phial of Galadriel as long as he could! Thank you so! Had a nice Christmas and a wonderful new year so far! Hope you knew the same!

With you by my side I will go forward indeed in trust. And that they will do, I'm quite sure. For they are not alone. They have each other and many friends who are still in Middle Earth and the letters of those who already left. Author Reply: Yes, they are encompassed with love now from both sides of the Sundering Sea as well as from the Creator. Trust is easier when one knows such love, I find.

I begin to sympathize with Denethor for having to parent a kid of Faramir's imagination and persistence. We know how important both qualities will be in his development and maturity; and the young Faramir is well written here. Love the ending! Author Reply: For Faramir to be so like him but more willing to let his heart lead him must have been both wonderful and frightening. Am so glad you liked the ending--it makes me so happy! Good to hear from you, by the way. Hope you'll add to your stories!

This was lovely. M-e is in good hands with Aragorn and Arwen. Author Reply: Thank you so, Linda. Indeed, Aragorn and Arwen will do their utmost to do well by all they come across.

Ohhh, what a long, desperate ride that must have been. But he returned with a heart still full of hope, and a vision of what life will be like for them in the Fourth Age of peace and plenty they helped bring about. This is a lovely conclusion to your tale. Author Reply: Thank you so, Shirebound. I believe that all of the virtues were shown forth by our beloved heroes from LOTR.

So sad and still full of hope! Just beautiful! Thank you very much. And since I don't know if or when another chapter follows: Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and your family :-) Author Reply: Again, thank you so for all your comments. And I hope your Christmas was filled with love and that the New Year is a good one for all!
