Elf Academy 4 - The Unfinished Tales  by Fiondil 11 Review(s)

So the truth is out. I don't quite see the need for this secrecy... unless Alex would have refused to fight if he would have known. Loved the picture of Nate and Raguel both in dusters.

I want to thank you all again for posting these chapters! I am deeply sorry for all the sorrows you all have gone through. You are all in my prayers and positive vibes your way.

Outstanding chapter. Love all the byplay, especially between Atar and Raguel. Hope you feel better.

understand about the sickness. have not slept well for 8 days. chemo, maybe. maybe piggy backing on my usual issues. in any event, was plesently surprised to have the reconciliation chapter posted this evening even if it means i will be up past my optimal bed time.

as i said in my previous post, i still see raguel and alex having more in common than initially evident. definitely the one to help him as far as i can see, even at this early stage. love the going off to catch the parade. nice touch.

Well, that's an eye-opener and no mistake for our favorite ethir neth and his gwador, not to mention the Elves.

I've been lax in reviewing, for which I apologize, especially to Shemyaza. Beta Amiga nettenya, I hope your sister's condition improves and that you remain well yourself. You have my deepest sympathies. And a bit of empathy as well, for while my sister isn't ill, my step-grandfather, GrandBob as I call him, is in the hospital with a broken hip, facing surgery in the morning. So I feel I understand, at least a little. *hugs and prayers*

Anyway.

I have come to love Raguel. I admit I haven't discovered your other works beforehand, nettenya, so Atto Fiondil's chapters are my introduction to him. I didn't even know about him being listed among the Archangels, just as I didn't know about Uriel before Atya explained Erunaro. (I infinitely prefer his description of Erunaro/Uriel to the tv show Supernatural's...)

Anyway, the plot thickens. And it's Fourth of July. Wasn't that the day that things were supposed to begin going down in Glorfi's nightmare, or is my memory faulty? I may have to reread from the beginning...

I will echo (the majority of) my fellow Fiondilie. Please, keep us updated on your situation as you wish, so we may offer support, as much as we can.

This is the point where, were Atya still here, I'd go off rambling with questions about whether the ap Hywels would be bringing more SCA stuff in soon, telling him about my first SCA Bardic Feast, and how there were SCA royalty in attendance and they were some of the most amazing people I've met yet, besides the ones I've met here I mean. I just wish today's news about GrandBob hadn't beat me down some. *sigh*

Anyway, since it's late and I'm tired and stressed, I'll close this here and go to bed. But tomorrow I'll be back in the Cliff House with strawberries and cream bread that I'm planning to try making for the first time. I just hope it turns out well.

Love to you, nettenyar, fellow Fiondilie, and last but never least, Atto Fiondil, whether he has gone to be in the Presence or waits for us. May Eru bless and keep you all.

Kaylee (Sophie Brandeis, in the SCA)

Whew. Glad that the truth has come out. Sounds like Alex is better already.

And Atar's sense of humor reminds me of an old comedy routine, where the comedian says something about God has to have a sense of humor, seeing how He created giraffes, and the platypus.

Trust the church heierarchy to try to set up the Father's retinue for Him. At least Alex knows the truth now.

This story keeps getting better and better, keep up the good work! I'm glad Alex now knows the truth. Hopefully that will help him deal with what has happened.
Overall great chapter :)

HOO BOY. I am glad that all worked out. I am sorry that you've been having so many difficulties lately (and I, unlike a certain review hereafter mentally referred to as the Nameless, don't mind knowing what is going on in your lives should you chose to share. I worry about my SoA family sometimes and want to make sure things are good. I also want to say a thing (because I hate that this keeps happening)

Nameless Unhelpful Reviewer Person,

I appreciate your need for an escape, truly I do. However, if you are unable to deal with Real Life explanations to inconsequential delays, might I suggest you find your escape among the published works or wait until this story says "complete" underneath? I'm pretty sure their are
filters for these things, if it means that much to you.

Be well :)

Typical. Not even high-ranking angels are safe from Church politics. What can we mere Mortals hope for then? *contemplates her own life for a moment*

In any case, while I'm still not happy with the "having one's cake and eating it" solution, I am happy that Alex is feeling better and that we're back to Wiseman. :)
