Oh, and now we'll come to the beginning of the meat of it. The two stragglers meeting with the Fellowship. Fun and food - it doesn't get much better.

Author Reply: LOL, it surely doesn't. :)

I hope you can soon post another chapter to this story. I should like to see how Caladir and Delumir's visit with the hobbits goes!

Author Reply: Thanks, Kathy! I'll do my best to get back to writing as soon as possible now that the cross-country move is accomplished. I really want to continue the story!

I love their inspecting of each other's clothes and that, thanks to Aragorn's characteristic sensitivity, Frodo and Sam will learn about the cleansing or Mordor. (-: More happy times you give us with our Fellowship.

Author Reply: Thank you, my friend. I don't have much time to write these days, but when I do, I try to bring out as much sweetness as possible.

Goodness, I just heard about the tornado in Maryland! I hope all your friends and loved ones are okay. *tight hugs*

A blessing for these two to realize Pippin survived and thrives. And his interactions with Aragorn would be quite the shock for those accustomed to Denethor's devotion to protocol, I'd think.

Author Reply: I think so, too. Aragorn's balance of warmth and wisdom will be such a boon to Minas Tirth, and all of Middle-earth.

Great! They are going to be introduced to Frodo and Sam by no other than Peregrin Took. It couldn't be better :-)

Author Reply: *beams* Glad you're enjoying this.

Very best wishes for your move. That is an enormous job. Enjoying the story and will look forward to more.

Author Reply: Thank you! This is a complicated move, and I appreciate your good wishes. :)

sb. sorry to interrupt but phrasing here confuses me:

Peregrin. You saw it. There is no way...”

“There are two ways,” Aragorn told them quietly. “The resilience of hobbits, coupled with the determination and strength of a friend to find him beneath that great carcass ’ere his breath failed, and a strong and buoyant spirit was lost to us forever.”

1 resilience of hobbits 2 deter, and strength: which would mean 'and' should be 'else'

OR

1 resil, deter, and strength = hobbit returned
2 strong and bouy lost forever
which makes there are two ways (that the Hobbit lives {implied}) incorrect

now remember I DON'T read incompletes because so many people never finish them.

Author Reply: Yes, I meant that there are two ways that Pippin survived being crushed: (1) hobbity resilience and (2) the determination and strength of a friend. My apologies if my phrasing is confusing.

In 15 years of posting, I've never left a story unfinished! Hopefully that will never happen.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

This is delightful and heartwarming.

“They’ve been in Mordor all this time, and missed all the feasts?” Pippin asked in dismay. *giggles* Pippin is such a delight in this.

Author Reply: *beams* I do love Pippin. He can be so grown up, but is still a tween at heart.
