Nice story! I love it. Hey, would you write a sequel in which Caladir and Delumir share with Frodo and Sam the progress that's being made in the cleaning out of Mordor? And maybe the feast that follows, while you're at It!

Author Reply: Thank you. Stay tuned for additional chapters! :)

Although I did not want to get up this morning, finding this (and reading it through several times) felt like a prize and a reward, and left me grinning from ear to ear. Thank you!

Best wishes for your move. (I hate moving, so I heap the wishes high...) Across the country! Perhaps it will be fodder for tales of Frodo's move to Crickhollow. Or Merry and Pippin's move to Gondor. :) LOL!

Hope you can "hurry back" soon. I've missed the hobbits so...

Some parts I love--hobbit resilience and exhuberance. King duties and Ranger duties. Glimpses of Strider's character.

The two brothers remind me just a bit of Beregond in his first meeting with Pippin. JRRT certainly sketched the Men of Gondor in a winsome way, even with the few details he offered about the common Men.

Author Reply: Thank you for your sweet comments. I can't express my joy at still being able to share hobbit tales with my friends after all these years. And when hobbits and Aragorn can interact -- such a delight! :)

This move is a difficult one, but eventually the dust will settle and it will be finished. Perhaps it *will* inspire story ideas!

I love this! What fun for them to discover that Pippin was alive still, and not only that, but up and around. And of course, Pippin was very Pippish!

(((hugs)))) Hope things are going well for you with the moving preparations!

Author Reply: Thank you. I fear this story will be terribly lacking in angst, and very Pippish indeed. :)

This move is turning out to be one of the most stressful experiences of my life, but I know the decision is a good one and will eventually work out. (((YOU)))

I just love Pippin here.

Author Reply: Thank you. Pippin -- a delightful blend of tween and almost-adult -- is such fun to write.

Another excellent chapter. You write Pippin well. :-D Can't wait until you have time to post the next chapter.

Author Reply: Thank you so much. Chapter 3 is percolating in my head, but may take awhile to find its way onto the keyboard.
