I love how you portrayed the relationship between Legolas and Glorfindel. That last chapter was my favorite. All in all, a wonderful story! Write more! Galimeril ;D P.S. Could you please give me a translation on the song Glorfindel sings? Thanks! Author Reply: Hi there... Thanks so much for the kind review! A translation of the hymn to Elbereth can be found here: http://www.uib.no/People/hnohf/elbereth.htm Hope that helps. Tinnuial

Lovely. I was struck by the way you had Glorfindel think of all of the Fellowship (except Gandalf) as children. I suppose that makes sense. But his affection for Legolas is the nicest part of this.

A beautiful chapter! I expecially enjoyed the scene toward the end...I found the glad as relaxing as Glorfindel did. :-D (I also enjoyed getting a glimpse of Legolas's nana. It is so rare when he gets on in fanfic. ;-))

Quite the entertaining conversation between elf lords. Well done. :-) (one minor typo: the apostrophe goes on the other side of the T on 'tis.)

This is a terrific story. Glorfindel is gallant, Thranduil is courteous, Legolas is adorable. I expecially enjoyed that Glorfindel is Legolas's favorite bedtime story.

I just found this little jewel of a story and after reading ch.1 and your comment/question about continuing, I was going to review and say "write on!"...until I saw the date. Maybe not...so I read through ch. 3 and NOW I will review the whole thing... :-) I had tears threatening by the time I finished ch. 3...this is a lovely story. You may not think it has much plot, but let me tell you what it does have...a great deal of heart! The friendship between Thranduil and Glorfindel is so warm...they were so funny in ch. 2 with the stories and all - just like two old friends catching up on old times, and one trying to comfort the other with humor and good memories. And poor Glorfindel - everyone's favorite bedtime story, bless his heart! Wonderful! However, it is Legolas that really gets my AWWWWWWWW! reflex going! :-) I love his relationship with the trees, and the way they love him. I love the way he lights up the lives of his people, and I love the way he eases Glorfindel's heart. To see the world again through the eyes of a young one is a special gift indeed. By the time the elfling started singing, I was sniffling in earnest. This is one gooood story...please continue! *begs on bended knee* *oops - knee doesn't recognize that command any longer, so I'll just B-E-G!* linda

Wow, this is really a great story. I loved Glorfindel's somber mood mixed in with Legolas' joy and laughter. The little Elfling you created in this story is such a wonderful breath of fresh air for these weary Elves. I love it! Thranduil's story about how he acquired the Dorwinion was hilarious. I never thought Thranduil nor Celeborn could be so reckless, but apparently they were. Hearing the story in full was a nice change for usually authors tend to skip over things like that or just tell a bit of the story, leaving much for the reader to imagine. You did a wonderful job! :) I also loved how apparent everyone's love for little Legolas is when he's walking with Glorfindel. He's such a "Ray of Hope" in the dark times. *sigh* I could just hear Legoals' beautiful voice singing in that last chapter. And beautiful it must have been for Glorfindel to feel such a lightening in his heart and of his sorrow. *another sigh* Wonderful job so far. I look forward to reading more! :) You are going to write more, right?
