Thranduil fighting with the one of nine had to be a sight!!! Did he fight with his winged beast too? Had to remind myself to breath during this chapter!!! The king scrubing his floors is absolutely amazing. Love loyalty of his family and friends but his ability to sense his son is really great and perfectly shows his bond with Legolas. Pity it wasn't you who wrote the script for the Hobbit!!! Then we would get a blockbuster.

| It sounds as if during the battle orcs got a special order to do everything to humiliate or harm Thranduil. I can't stop thinking why Sauron hates him so much. Is it because of his will and strength? As you said he had no special ring and only his will kept darkness at bay. |

| Almost midnight and I can't end my reading again not that I do my best trying :). Thranduil was fighting with the wrath?! I can only say wow! Looking forward for this scene. What sort of rift was between Thranduil and Celeborn? I thought that they tried to get on well in We were young Once. Gimli could be a great Elf :) but I think he is a bit unfair for Thranduil. As a king he had to find money for supplies, arms and other stuff, Legolas didn't have to worry about it. For Thranduil money is the source to make his people'lives easier, I remember well the scene when he got rid of crowns to buy food. He's not definitely greedy. Wonder if Legolas mentioned about it to Gimli. Who cares about sleeping :D? There are too many great chapters for reading :). |
