Memory Of Darkness  by Jay of Lasgalen 12 Review(s)

Ahh. Lovely. I'm so glad that Legolas is getting better - the day in the woods really did him good. The relationship between him and his father is a very mature one - they can both understand each other and let each other be, which is great.

Love the 'Wood elf' 'Noldor snob' exchange - and the snow dropping on Elladan's head. Have E2 developed any affinity with trees? As Celeborn's grandsons, they could have a reasonable rapport - I would think Elrohir would more that Elladan.

Legolas and Arwen seem quite close. In a way it's a shame they didn't get together. (Don't tell anyone, but some of the Tolkien stuff does make you wonder whether he thought it through.)

Author Reply: Legolas and Thranduil have only got each other, no-one else, so I think it makes Legolas seem a little more mature than the twins at times. I know E2 have a little wood-elf heritage, but Celeborn was more Sindarin than Silvan. Besides, I think they take after their father more.

Legolas and Arwen? They seem ideal together, but sadly they don't agree!

I love the tree dumping snow on Elladan. Serves him right!

Author Reply: Poor Elladan. Although he's descended from a wood-elf (Celeborn) he's more Noldor! He should know better.
