lovely ending....or transition, i suppose. it was easy to feel thranduil's emotions as he left their home. anyway, update soon, please. Author Reply: Yes, very much a transition. We're just now getting on with things. ;)

Very well done, Cori, (as always); the writing is superb. I very much like the way that you are handling the story between Lindoriel and Thranduil. ;) It was bitter sweet reading the end of this book. I didn’t want it to end, but I trust the second volume will not be long in coming. Yes, very well done indeed, mellon nin. :) ~Elwen Author Reply: Hannon le, as always. ;) Hopefully not long, Elwen mellon. I'd like to think it won't be long, anyway. I'd like to get as much as possible done before August, if you know what I mean. ;)

Excellent, indeed. I enjoyed seeing Thranduil and Lindoriel together and the Silvan elves' reactions to everything and the last conversation with Gil-galad. I particularly liked the book Serataron gave him--it was nice to see the conclusion of that plot line. This has been wonderful and I am looking forward to Book II. :-) Author Reply: Book II has several interesting spins on the canon planned for it, which will hopefully make up for the fact that its timeline is rather sparse. All the really good stuff happens after the Last Alliance, anyway. ;)

This seemed a proper farewell to Lindon: bittersweet, but mostly sweet, and looking hopefully forward. You really captured a sense of the long time they had stayed there and the history they were leaving behind. I loook forward to reading Book II. ~TF Author Reply: So do I. The problem is that I actually have to sit down and write it. ;)

This has been a delightful story to read. I thank you, Coriel, for giving Thranduil such a depth of character. Author Reply: You're welcome. ;) I'm trying to do my best for the poor guy.
