| Destined to lead as Future Steward of Gondor Her bright shining star So sad! What a tragedy that Boromir's shining destiny was cut short. Author Reply: Oh I agree - it was a shame - but you know I have to wonder if Boromir's death, like Denethor's, was perhaps the best thing for where Aragorn was concerned. I believe Boromir would have followed Aragorn but you have to wonder once he was back with his father, would Denethor have influenced Boromir to turn against Aragorn again?
