So adorable! I love Legolas' fond resignation at the end, and I would very much like to read some of these other adventures mentioned (hint hint).

"Roopie lessons. Indecent limericks. Forced pipeweed inhalation. Stolen desserts. Being bullied into stealing desserts. Never even getting a fair share of the stolen desserts. Defiling the waters of the most pure fountain of the Golden Wood to dredge Pippin out. Being defiled in a quite disgusting Hollin bog to dredge both Merry and Pippin out. Snowball ambushes. Rest interrupted by nocturnal hobbit squabbles over blankets and elbows. Rest interrupted by hobbits insisting that they are too cold to sleep alone after their fellow hobbits have evicted them from the hobbit sleeping pile. Rest interrupted by pouncing hobbits. Well, one pouncing hobbit. Unwarranted reprimands from elder hobbit cousins about playing too rough with said pouncing hobbit. Bewildering lessons in hobbit genealogy. Lessons in hobbit food preparation. That whole dreadful incident in Ithilien with the questionable brew, resulting in the drinking-song humiliation. Conkers."

Ok, so that is a very, *very* long quote. However, I would love to read about some of these incidents! Have you written about them anywhere? It is so funny to see Legolas' perspective on the hobbits-thank you!

This is a wonderful piece. Short, sweet, and goes straight to the heart. While I like all your hobbit pieces, this one is my favourite.

What a beautiful, sweet piece. I loved the way it came round to what exactly no one had ever told Legolas. Thanks for the fanfic sunshine.

Hi Baylor, it's me again (*points to the review from TolkienFan below*). I forgot to mention something very important about your story:

It is one of my absolute all-time favorites, and I re-read it often. Especially whenever my heart needs a bit of warming.

So there!

Conkers to you,
Barbara

Absolutely delightful! I love the way you convey both Legolas' dismay and his love. Thank you!
