GamgeeFest's Keepsakes  by GamgeeFest 14 Review(s)

How wonderful. Every word of this drabble is just perfect, Gamgeefest. I believe that Boromir's thoughts would have gone in exactly this direction. He truly redeemed his honor.

Author Reply: Thank you so much, Shirebound!

It took me a while, and many discussions on message boards, to understand this aspect of Boromir's character, but I love him for it. He must have been aghast at his actions towards Frodo; protecting Frodo's kin was the least he could do. And yes, he did redeem himself and was able to die with the honor he always regarded so highly.

I loved it. If you make it any better then the rest of us will be forced to go off and improve out stuff. Way too much work if you ask me. I loved hos this speaks to Boromir's sense of honor.

Author Reply: *blushes* Thank you, though I don't see how any of your stuff, or anyone else's, could be much better that it already is. :)

Boromir's honor and duty were the primary focus here and even focusing on just that, it was difficult to keep it within word count. Duty is no small thing for Boromir, who grew up serving his city so faithfully. His realization that he had nearly threw aside everything he believed in and was honorable to him was a sore trial for him. I'm glad he was able to redeem himself in the end.

Wow!! I'm at loss for words. So much said for so few words. :) Excellent writing!

Author Reply: Thank you! With only 100 words, I had to really condense this down and focus on the most primal of all Boromir's thoughts in that moment: his sense of duty and valor. Needless to say, it wasn't easy! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for reading. :)

i love it .. you're a great drabbler--would love to hear more from yOU! =)

Author Reply: Thank you! And it's so good to hear from you! *hugs*

It was hard to squeeze Boromir's last thoughts into 100 little words, but well worth the effort. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
