This is great! Something interesting to investigate in the woods tomorrow. I am enjoying this very much and Pip is so cute as always! LOL I am also so glad to find a story with this much Bilbo in it.

Janet, Awww...I'm sitting here with a smile as wide as the Atlantic plastered on my face. While I love angst, I love 'fluff' (really, what I'd call it is more 'A day in the life') stories. Loved, simply loved sweet Pip's line about kissing a hurt to make it better--brought back memories of my mum kissing my hurts (and there were many). To this day, she'll do that (and I'm 47!). I love too Estel's patience with Pip. You portray that so well--love also your portayal of Toddler Pip. (Do you by any chance know any kids this age--you write it *so* well!) Eagerly awaiting the next chapter (it was a meteorite, yes?)

What an intriguing way to introduce the idea of meteorites to Middle Earth...you've done a marvelous job of explaining how people back then would view that sort of thing - similar to the way they see Gandalf's fireworks as a form of magic. What's that old quote..."one man's science is another man's sorcery" or something to that effect. I can't recall the exact quote just now. Good old Pippin...I don't think I've ever seen any child - hobbit or human - that loves to splash like he does. Must be a Tookish trait, I imagine. Well done, as always!

It's adorably sweet, precious, and cute like most of your hobbity stories, and a welcome change from high drama. One thing though, dearest- in your introduction, you should "publicly" thank your mom, not "publically". *hugs you tightly* thanks for the review of the Portrait, too.

Oh my goodness what a great chapter! I think this is my favorite so far! Toddler Pip is just too cute! Hehe - baby baths and baby kisses! Two of my favorite things! So sweet! And I love seeing Frodo take care of him. Those two are so adorable together. Oh - and the hobbits taking care of Aragorn's boo-boo - wonderful! The idea of the sand-glass (what was it called again?) is a fantastic element to add to the story. I always found that concept fascinating - did you ever see "Sweet Home Alabama"? It has this element in it too. Cute movie. Anyway, I loved this chapter and can't wait to see what happens next. Blessings, cp P.S. Your sweet thank you to your beta-mom had me all teared up. How precious. :)

Another cute chapter. *gets out the whip and chair* Have to keep your little Pip away from heart. He's trying to usurp Frodo's place!

your stories are always so delightful. Pippin giving a "mummy" goodbye hurt kiss. That reminds me of my littlest one about a splinter in his foot (oh, oh, another story!) just kiss it and it will go away, he would tell me, instead of me taking a tweezers to it to get it out. Of course I would kiss it at the same time. how adorable!!!!!!

A wonderful chapter! I especially enjoyed Pippin's comment. "Kiss it." *grins*
