| You won't believe it, but this is the first "Errol" story I've read. I've seen lots of references to him, but never met him in person. He has lovely manners, and is so eloquent and polite. I can't help but think he's a good influence on Pippin. *g* Author Reply: Errol is something of a surprise to me. He was a tiny mention in a little fiction called "Merry's Doorway" that was posted to Brandybuck and Took ages ago and he was not supposed to wind up finding his way into so many of these little stories. But like many plot bunnies Errol keeps turning up. He can be polite and eloquent but he is also sneaky! hehehe | |

| Frodo really is a wise hobbit. And I think that if he only knew Errol's true history, he'd realize it's not a trick of the light or the way Pippin's holding him that makes Errol look so knowing. He's just lacking a crucial piece of evidence. Merry on the other hand, doesn't really *want* to know--even though I've a hunch he suspects what he doesn't want to admit! *grin* Good old Errol. And I think Pippin made the right decision about the jam--no need to hurt Merry's feelings...*snerk* Author Reply: It's always best to eat the jam and say nothing. | *gasping for air* that was great. the banter between Frodo and Merry was absolutely priceless. I loved it! Pippin was adorable accompanied by the bit of mischief thought at the end. Brilliant, awesome, and very well done! Thanks for the laughs -- as always, I needed it. Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed it. For once I let Frodo win out. Merry and Pippin usually best him but this time Merry was the one coming up short. I told someone that this was my Yule gift to Frodo. Catch your breath and have a very happy holiday! | |

| Oh, my gosh!!!! This is HILARIOUS and I'm not even halfway through it yet!!! I'm sitting here laughing my arse off! | “What did Errol get Frodo then?” Merry challenged. Pippin frowned. “Merry, Errol is a stuffed rabbit.” Poor Merry will never win! But he'll keep on trying, won't he? And I'll never tire of these stories, GW. Thank you for such lovely Yule gifts. Author Reply: This time Frodo came out on the winning side and Merry was at a complete loss. I owed Frodo for all of the times I've let him come up against both Merry and Pippin. In a way, this was my Yule gift to Frodo. hehehe Errol will be glad you enjoyed it!
