| Oh, I loved that! For a while I was completely lost, but then it all became clear. The peregrin falcon. One of my personal favorite birds. Delightful little story about my favorite hobbit. | Big Clappings! Wonderful!! Yes movie verse, but No harm in that! I LOVED it. Just watched that part of the movie last night actually. Once again you've written a pippin story worth reading! I loved the bit with the bird. Beautiful. Such a smart perceptive bird! trusting his "fool of a took" how touching!! what a nice boost for pippin. | Peregrin stirs the heart, with his determination and his strength and a hint of pain that is just below the surface. I loved the line where he is 'thinking,' so as to distract himself from looking and fearing, and how he realizes that Gandalf is trusting him, even though he is a fool. Pippin is so often portrayed as a fool, when really there is so much spirit and worth hidden within a small body and a jesting smile.
