How wonderful. I needed to read something hopeful and positive today, and I just knew this story would be perfect. Thank you.

Hey Linda! This is Legolass (Q)! :-)
I am not particularly fond of Aragorn-Faramir friendship stories, but I just had to read yours. Well written, great! (Could I expect less?)

Author Reply: Thank you so much for your kind review.I'm pleased you liked the story despite its characters and am honoured that a writer who has written a story I so admire should enjoy my work.

You know, it is quite funny how poor Faramir is worried about his proper clothing to meet the King. During the crowning it's ok, but for a talk only? I have the suspicion Aragorn is in his ranger outfit much more comfortable than in formal robes and doesn't truly want all this pomp.

Aragorn was starting to get quite light headed from watching all this bobbing around. *lol* I fear it will going to be a hard task for Aragorn to convince Faramir he doesn't need to raise him upon a pedestal, because he wants to be Faramir's friend and not his liege. I am glad Aragorn treats him as his friend, not as his doormat as Denethor has obviously done. It must have been very good for Faramir to be complimented about his organisation of the coronation rather than chastised for something which was probably not even his fault for a change. No doubt Aragorn will befriend his nervous steward in the end, as you've put it.

Author Reply: Thank you so much for your kind rewiew. I think poor Faramir has been raised with so much protocol that he worries needlessly !
I do have a story "Shadow and Thought" on fanfic.net in which they become good friends.

Oh this was poerfect. I thought you caught Faramir's emotions brilliantly. I would love to see more of this and explore how this friendship develops as I bet it wouldn't be plain sailing, Faramir's upbringing wouldn't allow it. Or perhaps a chapter to explore Faramir at the end of his life so that you could explore how the friendship had grown. 'A Final Ending' perhaps?

Author Reply: Thank you so much for your very kind review, you made my day !That is a good idea to write about the end of Faramir's life though it would be harrowing to do so.I intend to post another story here about their developing friendship and also have more friendship stories on fanfic.net about them
