Fostering  by Larner 15 Review(s)

Lovely end, Larner! That was what I had hoped for. It is so comforting to know they are all together again and even Gilraen is happy now. And it was nice that Bilbo and Ruvemir were there, too. They belong to this family, even Ruvemir who is no blood relative.

Thank you for sharing this!

Author Reply: All who come to love us are our family, so they belong together at the end, don't they? Glad so many love this story.

I thought you had already finished this, but what a nice ending: reminiscent of CS Lewis in "The Last Battle". I have found this whole idea very intriguing.

Author Reply: This last chapter has been trying to get out and get published, and so I finally revised it and posted it. The originating Nuzgul appears to be very content now, and was last seen singing a lullaby of some sort.

What a wonderful treat to get up to this morning. And an extra special ending that finishes this perfectly and satisfies my craving! I am so glad that you posted this chapter but I didn't ask about it as I figured that you had treated us lots in other stories. Not that I'm complaining mind!!!

And to fit in both the mantle and my other favourite character - well I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

Now to re-read. Thanks Larner. (I do like how the light of being is taking off as a feature in many peoples' writing).

Author Reply: The Light of Being started with Tolkien's own writing, so am glad that apparently my own is assisting others to use the Master's own creation in their own. Plus, it is very flattering to see my own writing inspiring that of others.

Thank you again for the feedback and the Nuzgul--as I commented to Dreamflower, it appears to be very content in its new setting.

I'm just speechless, Larner. What light, what joy, what fulfillment for all who so richly deserve it.

“Now, wait a moment,” Sam laughed, “You’re not going nowhere without me!”

Pippin looked into Merry’s eyes. “Then, it’s true?” he asked with growing delight. “They are brothers after all, were always meant to be?”

“Of course, you daft Took!”

*applause*

Author Reply: So glad you like it. Sat on it for several days deciding whether I should post it, but finally decided I should do it. Thank you so very much for following it.

Oh, this was a lovely and very satisfiying ending to this story Larner. They're all together again. And I loved who was waiting for them as they headed out of the glade to The Presence. Nice touch. Looking forward to your next story!! Thanks for this lovely, lovely story. :o)

Author Reply: Decided it needed that last chapter after all, and glad you like the waiting sculptor as well. Thank you so for all the feedback, Tigger.
