| Lovely, Larner! I love the idea that all three trees begin to blossom on the same day, to celebrate Sam's birthday. And it is another connection between Frodo, Sam and Aragorn. Author Reply: It was Tolkien who noted in the Appendices that the White Tree of Gondor was said to open on Sam's birthday, so I just took that just that wee bit further....
