shireboundReviewed Chapter: 53 on 12/26/2005
He deserves to know the chance to have his wounds heal as best as they can, to have the Shadow cleansed away by pure Light, to have the chance to know pleasure and pure joy unbridled once more.”

What a beautiful petition. When I wrote "Sing Me Home", I suspected that the Lord of Eagles would be the messenger of Manwe for this boon, but didn't envision the details. It's wonderful to be given a glimpse of Arwen's thoughts and will, and how she cared for Frodo as much as the others.

Author Reply: It's a wonder how often the various stories we ourselves write independently or as a result of contemplation not only mesh with the originals left us by the Master, but with those of one another.

I'd not read "Sing Me Home" when I wrote this, btw.

But Arwen, too, owes her current joy to Frodo and Sam; and would join with the others to seek to get him easing.
