| I suppose that really the one person that could be called least ordinary is Aragorn himself. That he has grown up in such a way that he could appear so ordinary as to fade into the background and yet empathise with all his people is extraordinary indeed. | I'm a bit surprised Merry sleeps with Pippin, but beautiful thoughts for all of them. Author Reply: I was taken aback too when I first started reading fanfic and encountered Merry calling Pippin 'dearest' and Pippin asking Merry if he could sleep with him, but then I realized the beauty and innocence of hobbity love.
