Antane's Anthology  by Antane 208 Review(s)
harrowcatReviewed Chapter: 9 on 9/11/2006
I suppose that really the one person that could be called least ordinary is Aragorn himself. That he has grown up in such a way that he could appear so ordinary as to fade into the background and yet empathise with all his people is extraordinary indeed.

Author Reply: God provides us with many extraordinary ordinary people, those He calls into the frontlines of battle as well as us who toil in the trenches.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

This was indeed a fitting tribute, Antane - and a fine example of how ordinary people can rise to extraordinary circumstances. Well done!

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I so appreciate your praise!

Just wanted to tell you I like what you added to this! Makes it look more real, somehow. That would really be an interesting project to try-I don't know if I could do it. :)
God bless,
Galadriel

P.S. So glad you got my e-mail! Maybe we'll get this figured out yet. From what you said it sounds like my server is just being whacked out.

*giggle* Blueberry! Yum. I love how excited they were to see each other, and how Sam wanted to be as tall as Frodo someday!
God bless,
Ellie

That sounded exactly like Frodo! Very well done!

Author Reply: Well, thank you, my dear! I do try. :) And thanks for all your other kind words about the other anthology stories!

Ah, a double obituary--very fitting! (rather like a double grave, what?) Sweet!

Author Reply: Double obituary or single? Wasn't I really speaking of one person? :) Thanks for enjoying. It's certainly the strangest thing I ever wrote and I kept debating whether to even post it but then I get all these nice reviews!

Sad, but fitting. This was especially poignant: "The Ring-bearer’s heart stopped first as he rested in the arms of his servant and best friend, then did Lord Samwise's."

Author Reply: Thank you! Where else would Frodo and Sam have died but in each other's arms? Or so I hope it was. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane

I don't know why but this made me grin Antane. Happy trip!

And in the end the sadness did become joy.

I'm a bit surprised Merry sleeps with Pippin, but beautiful thoughts for all of them.

Author Reply: I was taken aback too when I first started reading fanfic and encountered Merry calling Pippin 'dearest' and Pippin asking Merry if he could sleep with him, but then I realized the beauty and innocence of hobbity love. MerryandPippin I think are even closer than FrodoandSam. Glad you enjoyed!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
