So good to see you back, my dear Frodo! Love that interpersing of memories with the song. Yes, inspiration does strike at odd times, but I'm glad it did!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Hannon le, mellon nin! YEs, I'm back. For while. I'm actually in DC and then I leave to go to Iowa Friday, and won't be back home until the end of June. I'm unsure of the availability to post during my stay in Iowa, but I will try. :) SO good to hear from you. Namarie and GOd Bless!
Yours truly,
Frodo Baggins

Aww Fro! If Pip singing that song in the movies doesn't make me get teary-eyed enough, this sure makes up for it! Lovely and so sweet, a heartfelt tear-jurker. I wish I could hugg the dear little hobbit! But I must ask, how did mowing the lawn inspire this? ;) God bless! Namarie ~Arwen

Author Reply: Oh, Hannon le!! I'm glad this is going over so well. I have this...hm, nerdy? obsession with loving to write tear jerkers and angst! Oh...LOL! Okay, I was singing that song "Home is behind" while mowing the lawn, and thinking about what made Pippin sing it, and while I mowed I came up with the story. Amazing. Namarie!
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

Queen GaladrielReviewed Chapter: 5 on 6/7/2006
Oh, you've got me crying so hard I can hardly type. The way you did this is what got me.

"Home is behind

"Frodo?"

The world ahead

"Yes, Pip?"

And there are many paths to tread

"That's a sad song."

Through shadow

"Yes, it is."

To the edge of night

"Why do you sing it?"

Until the stars are all alight

"Pippin! You *can't* go!"

Mist and Shadow

"I won't stay behind!"

Cloud and shade

"You don't know what pursues me! I can't let you!"

All shall fade

"That will never change the fact that I love you and can't let you go alone."

All shall fade,"*

"Oh, Pip."

*sob* Oh, that is so poignant, and so like what happens in our memories. But now you've got me thinking: "Why *does* Frodo sing it?" Perhaps his mum sang it to him one stormy night, hmmm? I think you've fed a plot bunny! *wipes eyes and goes to attend to the little creature*
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Well, my dear, I can tell you this much: *I* know why Frodo sings the song. *mischeivous, knowing grin* But I think I'll write that into Forging of the Ringbearer. Hannon le for such a wonderful review! I'm amazed. ALready like five reviews or something, and I only posted it this morning! It's amazing what can come from mowing the lawn, no? That and staying up late. But you did get how his memories jumped forward in time? I mean...I had hoped that it wasn't confusing. I just couldn't decide what to have Frodo and Pippin say in those few lines. I'm glad it was poignant and got the feeling I had hoped for. Namarie, and GOd Bless!
Yours ever,
Frodo Baggins

Author Reply: Okay, three reviews. But they all came like at the same time! It was weird! I'm glad it went over well. I wasn't sure. Namarie!
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

This is so sad but lovely. I seem to remember from the loads of stuff on the Extended DVD that Billy Boyd came up with the words for this himself. Or was it the Fran gave the words and Billy made up the tune?. Oh darnit...now I will have to go and watch it all over again to find out. What a chore!! *g*

Author Reply: I think you may be right. I'm on vacation, so I can't check it right now. Man, I can't believe you *have* to watch that movie. Really a chore. Namarie!
GOd BLess,
Frodo Baggins

He was out there, Pippin knew. But somehow, Pippin could feel him here, in the room. He could picture Frodo standing by his side, smiling that smile of his that said, "I love you," better than any words.

Very sweet. :D

Author Reply: Hannon le!! I loved writing this. I guess mowing the lawn isn't so bad after all. :)
GOd Bless,
Frodo Baggins

Yes, and it's hard to tell which is more stubborn.

Author Reply: It is hard. I think they are equally stubborn, and the situation determines which one wins the argument!!

Tricky and cheaky Frodo! :)

Perhaps it's a good idea to get away from angst once in a while.

Author Reply: He, he! That is funny: Tricky and Cheeky Frodo!! Yes, it is good to get away from angst once in a while, especially before the thirteenth...majoy angst day!!

Btw- are you posting a chapter on the other story you have listed? because there's none on their as of now.
Namarie,
Ellie

Author Reply: I was going to, but I am so busy, that it would be a neglected story. Sorry. I took it off now, so no one else has to wonder. Poor story! *sniff*

HAhahahahaha! I LOVED this, Frodo! very funny! Those two are the stubbornest hobbits in Middle Earth, and to see them arguing over who's sleeping on the floor is just histerical!
Keep it up!
God bless,
Ellie

Author Reply: Yes, this was so fun to write. I love stubborn Hobbits!! It came from a real instance I had with my Sam...:) You don't want to know!
God Bless,
