Ten Thousand Years Will Not Suffice  by Agape4Gondor 186 Review(s)

Still another attack? Gads! Hopefully this time the blade will not actually injure him! And what did our little strumpet tell her daddy about Faramir's actions?

The adaptation of the quote is most apt indeed, and indeed proper for the love these two held between them.

None as yet seems to fully appreciate that Saruman is the traitor he has become. And the questions as to what is becoming of the missing reports is well asked. As for Miriel--a useless chit of a girl, at this point, at least. Don't blame Nerdanel for slapping her!

The healing has begun. I understand the return of the healer, but would still want to know why she did as she did.

Saruman has done his best to slay Denethor's heir, using Grima to poison more than Morwen, Indis, and their sword-sister. But how was this woman suborned?

Saruman's orcs this time. Aargh! And father and brother have both dreamt of the attack!

At last, a moment of relative peace and planning. I am almost sorry that Boromir did not marry as had been planned.

The stone skipping was delightful; not all the Rohirrim have been infused with Saruman's lies, then. Some remember the fellowship they have known historically with those from Gondor.

To see two such strong men reduced to the weakness Denthor and Faramir know is difficult. Yet Faramir continues in the strength of his hope, at least, and has two strong guards by his side.

The enemy is an expert at the game of dividing so as to conquer, and it is good to see the game recognized and being fought against successfully. Well done!

Most difficult for all of them! Poor Boromir--to be married off whether he will or no!

LarnerReviewed Chapter: 37 on 7/15/2010
Denethor is stretching himself overmuch, I fear. Now, to see Faramir recover, and Denethor hopefully begin to find a modicum of hope again. The foresight of Faramir lying on the bier as he does in RotK is horrible, and helps explain the anguish the man feels at that time.
