Peregrin and Diamond  by Pearl Took 108 Review(s)

"But then again, there was Diamond. Pippin closed his eyes and smiled a little. Of all the relatives in the North Farthing . . . that he should end up at Long Cleeve Farm, that he would be in Diamond's home. His smile deepened as he fell asleep."

Ooooh! I don't remember this from old version...very nice! :-) The idea that Pippin knew of Diamond before his excursion to the Northfarthing. :-)

The whole scene of the siblings dragging poor Pippin from one bed to the other had me rolling! The healer and his apprentice was the cherry atop a very hobbity chapter (in a very hobbity tale!).

I am thoroughlyy enjoying this wonderful story! Now to get those two together... ;-)

I felt that Tooks would know each other, that the extended family would have get togethers and such.

I'm glad you enjoyed the accommodation of Pippin and the cheery healers :)

Thank you for reading this again and for responding :)

Aww, poor Pippin! The healer's aprentice was a crack up! But I am glad Pippin is in such loving care, and I hope he will be getting better soon?
Keep writing, please?
God bless,
Elanor

Author Reply: I'm glad you liked the healer and his apprentice, Elanor :) I'm glad you are wanting more :)

It appears this match had been a time coming. Wonderful how things work out!

And I liked the advertisement given for the medicament. Lovely!

Tom is learning his craft well.

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner :) Yes, I think Tom will be a wonderful healer, if he remembers to not be too graphic in front of the patients :)

Uh-oh. Looks like Pippin is more injured than he realizes. Diamond was very brave to ride the pony the way she did. Seems like she is good in an emergency and so is her brother. Can't wait for more, but I will. I am enjoying it very much!

"Had he lost sight of who he was? He was seeking a hobbit lass who wanted to know him, but did he know himself anymore?

This is excellent, Pearl! The best way to find one's other half is to know the first half (yourself). Loved it!

My...I see you've changed a bit more things in this chapter! I so enjoyed the former version, but I absolutely LOVE this one! It flows so smoothly from one scene to the next, everything seeming so real. As I read your tales, I always have this sense of actually being there--witnessing first-hand the events taking place. This shows what a gifted writer you truly are. :-)

I thinks its adorable that Diamond dreams of Pippin in her fantasies and is pretty much already in love with him.

I am so looking forward to the next update!

Oh no!!! Poor Pippin! I am so glad that Diamond came when she did, though. This was a very exciting chapter, can't wait to see more!

Aha--one whose imaginings will in the end become reality. Lovely! And so practical as well!

Author Reply: "Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if you're young at heart."

It is a practical solution to an age old problem ;)

Thank you, Larner, for reading and responding!

Well - he clonked his head, but still remembered who he was! And Diamond knows him. But he might require a bit of recovery time here to unscramble his brains. A lavender pillow might help. And he will (I hope) get a chance to know the kind of girl who doesn't believe that showing her cleavage and enticing him into compromising positions is the best way to win his interest.

Author Reply: Hehehe Yeah, I opted for not doing the amnesia route :D Yes, recovery time is exactly what he needs. As interesting as I'm sure he finds cleavage, it doesn't mean the lass is as nice as the view.

Thank you for reading and resoonding so faithfully, Bodkin :) Glad to have you along on this story!

The little HUSSY! To do that to poor Pippin!

Loved the description of the lasses playing with them like marionettes, dangling them with their hair ribbons.

Lovely imagery, and all too true descriptions of the more manipulative.

Author Reply: Yes, she's a nasty bit of goods.

Thank you, Larner, for the compliments :) and for reading and responding!

Yes, I can certainly see this happening, this wondering if they'll find the right ones for them, the ones who love Merry and Pippin and not just the notoriety.

Author Reply: The trials of the rich and famous. They do have problems that the rest of us will never have.

Thank you for reading this story, Larner. And for responding :) :)
