Oh, I'm not sure who I'm most worried about!! Poor Scamp so near her time and wanting to be with Frodo, poor Sam so scared for Frodo, poor Frodo and Estel and everyone who is worrying about them. *frets* Author Reply: We do love our hobbits and rangers and pups so much, don't we? I'll type fast so we can get this comfort-train moving... *hugs you*

Oh, marvelous! Cunning plot twist! Aragorn lost his memory?! What would he be like without the weight of all that heritage and destiny on him? Oh, I do hope that he regains his memory, but not too soon, bless his heart! Meanwhile, I look forward to his being pampered/fed/coddled by hobbits! Author Reply: "I look forward to his being pampered/fed/coddled by hobbits" I think we can arrange for a bit of that! :D

Summer's here! Oh boy! I can do lots of reading now ^^ Anyways, I do love your hobbits. So... hobbitish ^^ And figures that Sandyman would say something like that (in the last chapter). Oh, but it's so good that Aragorn was there and warned for the people to run. And he probably saved Sam's and Frodo's lives. Awww, I love Aragorn! ^^ But dang, hope both of them are ok. Frodo does seem he'll be fine- hobbits are made out of tough stuff after all- but what Aragorn said concerned me. Something weird happened... or he decided to promote Halbarad to captain. Knowing you, the latter is not the case :P Anyways, cannot wait to read more! ^^ Author Reply: Yay for summer! Yay for hobbits! LOL, you're right -- that was *not* an impulsive promotion! *grins*

I am sooo enjoying this. At the moment I'm more worried about Estel than Frodo, though. He's been unconscious an awfuly long time. Author Reply: I'm so glad you're enjoying the story! I'll see what I can do to wake everyone up...

A sudden worried yip from a basket by the hearth distracted her for a moment. Aw, that's so cute! Scamp is a Baggins pup indeed, completely forgetting about her own condition, when she finds out that her master is hurt. Typical of Bagginses ;-) I'm glad that Frodo was at least awake for some time, but I'm really worried about what Gilly said of infection. On the other hand, this is a shirebound story! You will take good care of him, won't you? And Aragorn calling Halbarad captain? Oh my! He's really in need of healing. Author Reply: Thank you for trusting me! I promise everyone (and every pup) will be all right by the end. I couldn't bear it to be otherwise! Awww, Scamp is a true Baggins indeed. Frodo couldn't have a more loyal pup at his side. Or more loyal friends.

Ah, how thrilling! Another new chapter! I'm so worried about everyone, even Scamp! I think I'm most worried about Bilbo, he frets so you know. Thanks for getting us this update so quickly. Can't wait for the next bit! :D Author Reply: Thanks, Glory! So many folks (and pups) needing comfort. Must make sure they all get lots and lots of it...

Oh, boy! I was so hoping I would find chapter 4 of this! And, a wonderful chapter of beginning comfort it is. :-) Poor Frodo and Aragorn - I know they'll require LOTS of TLC...right? Right?? Gives it to us!!!!!!! Give us the comfort!!! Hehehe! Thanks for this. It brightened my Saturday. :-) Author Reply: Thanks, CP! "...beginning comfort..." *grins* Let's see if I can force myself to continue with all that nasssty comfort and TLC.

Uh-oh. Amnesia? Poor Halbarad! If Estel doesn't remember the last few years... I really love your Gilly--what a wonderful healer she is, alert and observant not only of the patient, but of his loved ones as well. She knows that taking care of Scamp will help distract poor Sam from his young master's plight. I also love the way Sam's family is taking all this, very level-headed, and well, down-to-earth. Can't wait to see what happens next! Author Reply: Thanks, Dreamflower! I haven't *quite* worked out all the details of the story yet, but I think Halbarad is going to learn quite a bit by the end of it. Awww, I like thinking of Sam and Scamp as two of Frodo's 'loved ones'. *grins*
