“Did you say ‘burglar’?”
*snork*

Priceless line, perfect timing.

No time for more--these are stolen moments! *g*

Author Reply: Thank you for stopping by in one of your stolen moments! You're quite the burglar yourself. :D

Ooooh...So Halbarad has a lady love. How sweet. It's so interesting to see the hobbits through his eyes. He's come a long way since their adventure at Crickhollow, hasn't he? I'm hoping that Estel remembers a bit more of who and what he is before too long. You promised us Ranger Healing my friend? So...Hmmmm? ;o)

Bilbo giving him the advice on how to deal w/the Dwarves was so wonderful. All those references to The Hobbit are delightful to see.

Looking very much forward to the next chapter!!

Author Reply: In my stories, you can always be assured that there will be healing, and lots of it! Thank you for your comments. I like it when Bilbo can use his experience and knowledge to help others.

“Did you say ‘burglar’?”

*giggle* Another delightful chapter. I'm growing very anxious over Scamp's condition though. *wants puppies* *wants Serinde to have a puppy!* hahaha

Author Reply: Thanks, Glory! I wish we could *all* have one of the Scamplings! :D

Yay! I'm finally caught up!!! Oooooh!! Poor forgetful Aragorn! I do hope those dwarves are nice to Halbarad. And I hope Scamp doesn't have any problems having her puppies after such a stressfull time! More soon, please!!!
God bless,
Ellie

Author Reply: I doubt I could bear to write any puppy-angst! But hobbits and rangers... well, they have to endure just a wee bit of angst to get to the cuddling and comforting. Thanks for the enthusiasm, Ellie! :D

Serinde? How cool that you two are cooperating!
Halbarad going alone to meet with the dwarves? Oh dear, they are most difficult to deal with. I hope he as learned his lesson in courtsey.

~Vilwarin

Author Reply: Hopefully he was listening to Bilbo very carefully indeed. :D

What a wonderful, homely portrait of Bag End and the conversation between Halbarad and Bilbo. Aragonr is in very good hands and Bilbo will see he is looked after. As will Bell Gamgee, who will keep the soup supply coming.

I feel as though I've had a visit to Bag End - lovely!

Author Reply: Awww, thank you. We're lucky to be able to create and imagine our "happy places" (like Bag End) as warm and homely as we wish.

Hee! Absolutely delighful as always!

Author Reply: I'm so happy you like it! Serinde's presence finally arrives in the story. :D

Ha ha ha ha! Bilbo can keep his secrets, that he can, indeed!

Food, puppy plans, Gamgees, Halbarad, hooray!

When does Aragorn wake up again, confused? And have to be pampered by hobbits?

Author Reply: The waking up and pampering begins in the next chapter! Lucky guy. :D

Halbarad nodded, then peered curiously at Bilbo.

“Did you say ‘burglar’?”

*grins*

Well, I think under different circumstances the old burglar would gladly accompany young Halbarad to meet with the dwarves.
The Ranger seems to be a little nervous. Whether because of Aragorn's accident or his upcoming meeting with the dwarves, or both, is hard to tell ;-)

But don't worry, Halbarad, you'll manage it! For shirebound is taking good care of you, I'm sure :)

Author Reply: I suspect that Bilbo does wish he could go! But he'll see Dwarves again someday, on his own.

Yes, Halbarad has a lot on his mind, doesn't he? But we know he can handle it. :D

Now THERE is a tale that Halbarad really must hear! I just love it when you Authors play crossover and always enjoy the borrowings. Serinde with a son or daughter of Scamp? Oh yes, I can just imagine it.

Author Reply: A half-Baggins, half-Took, Ranger/Surgeon-raised pup growing up in Bree. That could be a series of adventures all by itself! *grins*
