“Bilbo had many reasons for naming Frodo his heir. Their shared wiliness was but one of them.”

Love it! Oh, this is a marvelous sequel. Hobbits certainly are inspirational and infectious, as well as charming, unforgettable, and wonderful. *beams*

Author Reply: Thank you dear! Hobbits are all those things, and more. The elves will miss them once they're gone. I doubt they've had this much excitement in Rivendell in decades! :D

you make the hobbits so enjoyable and entertaining that i could be here forever, but you really haven't done anything that horrible in your life so i'll keep moving around.

Author Reply: Hobbits do have that effect on people. ;) I'm glad you enjoyed this story!

Delightful fic, and marvelously educational!

Author Reply: Thank you! The Fellowship came away from Rivendell knowing way more than they wanted to know - not that they minded it of course. :D

Thanks for reading!

I'm sorry to see this series of stories come to an end. This was the perfect conclusion. Sam's poem was a fitting tribute to the good times you created for the Hobbits to share with their new friends in Rivendell.

Author Reply: I can see the hobbits telling all the stories that the poem refers to. Faramir in particular will enjoy hearing about his older brother's less gracious moments. hehe :D

Thank you for reading, dear! It's good to hear from you again. :D

“So that’s what happened to those golf clubs?” Merry said, turning to Legolas. “You know what this means?”

“No. What does it mean?” Legolas asked cautiously.

“We’ll have to introduce this fine game to Gondor,” Merry announced and grinned.

LOL!!! Now, this would be worth another story, wouldn't it?

Great epilogue and great poem. Thank you very much for this entertaining story :)

Author Reply: I can just see Merry and Pippin trying to convince Strider to put a golf course in Gondor. I don't see the conversation getting very far, somehow, lol!

Thank you so much for reading and for your encouragement! :D

A brilliant epilogue GF. Loved the poem. And I am sure that Pansy Scruttle feels much better! Perhaps there isn't room for a full golf course in Minas Tirith but a driving range off the end of the top level might be fun errrrr.... dangerous. Faramir might be persauded to set a course up in Ithilien.

Author Reply: Pansy and Posy both. Posy was getting ready to head out to Bywater and avenge her reputation, little as it was. ;D

A driving range? They better get a huge net for it, or the poor folk at the bottom will never know what hit them. hehehe Ithilien would be safely removed from Minas Tirith, and has built in hazards. That thought has potential. :D

Thanks for reading!

Sam's poem is pure brilliant! I adored every word. I think he summed up things quite nicely. (You did pretty well yourself.)
Ah, golf in Minas Tirith! Maybe Bergil can caddy. Great story and I am sad to see it end. I got many great laughs out of this.

Author Reply: The poem ended up being nearly epic length. I was expecting for Sam to go on for that long, but when he gets into the swing of things, it's hard to stop him! ;)

Bergil would love to follow his Sir Pippin around the green, carrying his clubs and washing his balls. Heh.

Thank you so much for reading, GW! I'm glad you enjoyed the story, though it took me forever to finish it. :D

With knowing that Sam is already there for his Frodo, it's sweet to be reminded that Frodo is there for his Sam. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane

Author Reply: One of Frodo's main concerns had always been Sam's safety and happiness. And Sam would rather him work on this poem than that dreaded book any day. :)

Thank you for reading!
