Four Nights and Three Days  by Antane 30 Review(s)

You would be well informed never to wonder out loud who is most loyal or loves Frodo the most or you’d be in the midst of an argument that could stretch until the world is re-made."

The edges of Elrond’s mouth twitched. "I consider myself forewarned then. I have already seen the most tender love from all of them."

Awwww, this is so sweet and gentle.

Author Reply: A belated but heartfelt hannon le, my dear shirebound! I am so glad you enjoyed. That means so much.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

The need to reopen the wound not just once but twice must have been devastating to Sam, Merry, and Pippin. But they do all they can to assist and not get in the way, and to encourage Frodo to hang on in spite of all else.

Love Sam here, and Pippin's quickness to try to help.

Author Reply: Hantanyel, my dear Larner!

I like how you are writing all the hobbits descriptions from Elrond's POV, as he does not know who is who yet. All the Elf lord sees is three little hobbits who care and love their stricken friend very much. He also sees that these three need to be active and help with their friend's care and allows them to do those little things to help him without being in the way as well.

Poor, dear Frodo.

I can't wait to read the rest, Antane!

Ooo! I'm so excited about this story! I love Elrond's POV here, and the Hobbits' gentle and loving care and so obvious anxiety. Poor dears, I know they're exhausted, and everything goes from very bad to three times worse when you're tired. I can't wait to see more of this!
God bless,
Galadriel

A good beginning, Antane. Professor Tolkien certain left these days open to our own interpretation, and I enjoy seeing how different writers imagine these events. The solicitious hobbits and mighty Elf Lord are a wonderful team.

Author Reply: Hannon le, shirebound - glad you are reading and enjoying! :)

Awww a new one! I like that it starts out in Elrond's p.o.v. (But I wonder how long they stay in the room before he shoos them out for making a fuss!;))

I look forward to seeing what comes next...........

Author Reply: Hannon le, my dear! Would you like being Elrond trying to get the hobbits to leave their dearest? I wouldn't!

This is a great start Antane. I like the way that you are showing the hobbits but not naming them yet.

Author Reply: Hantanyel, my dear harrowcat. I originally was going to do this as an expansion of Children of Iluvatar but then it kinda just grew into its own tale. :)

What a great beginning! I like the fact that you have not only Sam, but also Merry and Pippin present as Elrond tries to save Frodo. Sam's comforting Frodo as Elrond begins his work is especially touching. I am looking forward to reading more of this story.

Author Reply: Hannon le, Althea for your kind review! Sam is love itself.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
