Oh, no! Just as the moment comes for victory! Hopefully it isn't fatal; although if it is I don't believe Minastir will have much time for regretting his action, as he would very soon follow her.

Author Reply: I hate to get into regrets, Larner, for everyone of these characters could fill the Great Hall with their own!

Hopefully - all will be well.

Pssst - thanks for your continued comments!

It appears that Elladan is now watching the newcomers, trusting Aragorn to do what is necessary for his patients.

And it appears Elladan is sympathetic with Aragorn's romantic situation, and is willing to offer him an excuse to visit. That is heartening. But a forty-year engagement--how frustrating it must have been for the Man! At least it proved worth it, and Aragorn could find more than an average Man's contentment, joy, delight, and love out of it!

Now, to see how the newcomers react to the situation.

Author Reply: I know some people probably thought it would be impossible for Aragorn to 'hide' his love for Arwen - but it seemed plausible to me - and heart-breaking... for he had no one to share the joy and sorrow of it!

I'm so glad Hope is reaching through to Faramir!

And go Ragnhild and the loyal soldiers!!

We're off and running :-)

Author Reply: Yes - we are off and running - and I really like Ragnhild and Borondir!

True righteous anger is a great weapon in its own right. And now it is to be turned against treachery, while their true Steward has heard the call of the King to return to life and has opened his eyes, finding the love of his mother mirrored in the song sung by the one Denethor had seen as his rival.

This is all quite interesting. I hope these men she is trusting are true.

I will confess to skimming for awhile *embarrassed blushing* but read this chapter in full.

I hope Indis and Theodred will be alright. *biting finger nails*

Author Reply: Ack! Skimming, Precious - Pearl Took was 'skimming' - so dreadful ...

Ah - never mind - one must do what one must do - hope your nails will be ok though!

Alas, no rest for the weary. I hasten on to the next chapter! Wonderful as always!

Author Reply: Very glad you are still enjoying this!

Hooray! They are on top of things indeed, and as Dagmir won't be coming home, there's only Minastir to isolate and deal with. Am so glad to see the cooperation here.

Author Reply: Poor Ragnhild was most surprised, wasn't she? When there is evil, there is usually good people in the background trying to fight it in whatever way they can.

Yes, those two live and even now are in the hands of the King, even if he is not yet returned. Wonderful! All comes together at last!

Author Reply: Very glad you're enjoying this, Larner! Thanks for the comments, too! Most appreciated...

Poor young man, to learn such a truth about his father and his kindred. And I certainly agree about the probability that evil blood has managed to creep into the lords of Gondor, although I have my own eye on Umbar rather than orcs. Heh!

Author Reply: I love Tolkien's description of Angbor and especially his deed in following Aragorn and the Dead - so there was NO WAY I was going to sully his image. Best leave him an innocent in this - as much as possible!

'But defenders and foes alike gave up the battle and fled when we came, crying out that the King of the Dead was upon them. Only Angbor, Lord of Lamedon, had the heart to abide us; and Aragorn bade him gather his folk and come behind, if they dared, when the Grey Host had passed.'ROTK

'Four thousands I sent marching from Pelargir through Lossarnach two days ago; and Angbor the fearless rides before them.'ROTK
