A lovely drabble about love and change and transformation; showing Arwen's courage as well as her loneliness.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I feel Arwen must have been lonely at times.I'm pleased you enjoyed this.

A very good drabble, liked how Aragorn recognized what a tense moment it was for Fara, and how Fara had the courage to continue on. Of this whole drabble series, I think my favorites are Chapters 8&9.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed this one. I think my favourites are the last 3.

Sometimes the inanimate is scarier than the animate. But the biggest obstacles are the one you refuse to climb. Faramir has more than enough courage for this. And the support of his king.

Yes,i'm sure Faramir has the courage to overcome his fears.

Well this is definitely one of the favourite. I shall have to go back and reread them all to give you a top five! *g* Can't wait to see this expanded into a full chapter. *hint, hint* Although this is great as it is. Maybe less is more!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. This is a personal favourite of mine too. I have a poll on my LJ to vote for a favourite.I do hope one day to write more about this scene.

I forgot to mention that my favorite in this series is actually a tie - between Half Hearted (the Elrond drabble) and The Right Choice (Arwen), which seems to me to be the most innovative. But they're all noteworthy.

Author Reply: I'm pleased you enjoyed them all.
I think my own favourite is a tie to,between "Thhe right Choice" and "The Lesson" with "Shadow and Flame" close behind.

Let's hope that Faramir only briefly sees those legendary burning hands inside the stone!

Good drabble - I think Faramir would strive to master the Anor-stone; despite the knowledge of how its usage affected Denethor; and even though he knows it will be painful and difficult. Good writing of Aragorn, too, of course.

I was thinking of the other palantir that Pippin found, but it could be either. I see Faramir as the kind of determined person, who would want to master it and ARagorn as a kindly teacher.I'm pleased you liked it.

Ah--the perfect moment to realize just how much Celebrian will grieve for the reunion that won't come till the end of days, yet will understand perfectly that this is the proper choice for her daughter.

So much is written about Arwen and her father,I felt I wanted to explore her feelings foe her mother.

She's right. You love them and raise them - and let them go.

Celebrian wouldn't have wanted Arwen to deny her future for her past. I suspect she would have understood her choice far more instinctively than Elrond ever could. And that, once Elrond was reunited with her, she was better able than anyone to help him understand it.

I hope Arwen sent lots of messages for her mother with Elrond.

This is breathtaking! A very vivid picture as Anduril is lit up in the dark (I'm assuming it's dark as the bonfire is going). Wonderful.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review and kind comments.
I'm pleased you liked this.
Yes,it is dark and Anduril reflects the flames.

Quite touching. I, too, find Arwen to be a very interesting character and I am fascinated by the choice faced by her and her brothers. I like this idea that not only the love for Aragorn, but also the deep love felt by a mother for her child is more than enough justification for her choice.
