Great Oaks  by Bodkin 12 Review(s)

I loved the details of the preparations for Thranduil and Laerwen's wedding, down to her soft green gown, very appropriate!

Author Reply: Well - forest colours. She wouldn't even think of wearing anything else. I rather liked her determination to wear jewellery of real flowers - and Thranduil has to have got that habit from somewhere!

I'm glad you decided to post it anyway:)

‘And you must tell me what I am to seek.’

She could not resist giving in to a wisp of mischief. ‘A bride,’ she declared.

Thranduil was certainly an obedient boy!

Author Reply: He didn't do it on purpose! I don't think Thranduil really wanted to ... put limits on the fun he was having with his friends. But when lightning strikes - there's not much even Thranduil can do about it!

It was rather fun to twist it round and think about what his parents would think of love at first sight. They could not have helped, I think, being cautious - and wanting time to see whether this girl really deserved their son.

Thank you!
